My parents won't take my hamster to the vet?
If you only got him a week ago, he should still be under warranty. Take him to the store where they are likely to have an exotic vet on-call. You could tell them you want him back. Is there any chance his nose was infected before you got him? If so, they would handle fees. To be honest I am not sure how they will handle treating him if he got hurt under your watch. They might make you pay, they might not. I agree with you that your parents should have taken into consideration vet costs. I pay for everything for my daughters' rats and hamsters, and they definitely go to the vet if need be. (The mice are mine.) Do you maybe have a B-Day coming up? You could tell your folks you want your hamster treated as a gift. Otherwise, try to borrow the money if possible from them, so that your little one can be treated by an exotic vet. I am sorry this is happening, and your hamster has an injury. Unfortunately I see it a lot on here that parents refuse to take a rodent to the vet, "...because it is just a rodent." in their eyes.

Well my parents are wayyy anti- gerbil but i really wanted one how i got my gerbil is i wrote a report but. I recomend you re write the report this time make sure to add the following 1. the prices for each thing your hamster will need ex. wheel . 3.54 from... walmart continue with adding the things will be purchased with your own cash when your buying you hamster for the first time i spent 70.00 i bought two gerbils and all of there essintals including a habiat that i got on sale so dont be mad when you spend 100 on your hamster make sure you have enough next you would be paying for continuous bills such as food bedding and wood chews optional treats. make an area dedicated to your room pointing out were the cage can be placed also say that the cage will be cleaned weekly (recomended for hamster and gerbil) top it all off with a name to your pet your mom just cannot resist a cute name that your mom likes can also help to add the cherry to the ice cream. good luck i got my two gerbils this way my mom is obsessed with them so you never know just try again !

okay so last night i was playing with my hamster and i decieded to put it down my pants for fun. i actually got aroused and, well, cummmed... anyway, i freaked out and put my hands down my pants to get my hamster out. then my wife walked in and saw me with cuum all over my hands and my hamster sticking its head out of the zipper on the front of my pants. how do I talk my wife into letting me keep my hamster bcuz she thinks were having an affair

I want a hamster but my parents wont let me get one?!?
I badly want a hamster more than anything in the world right about now, I used to want a ferret and did absolutely everything I could to convince my parents to let me get a ferret but they said no. I even made a power point presentation, and saved up all my money! I ve had fish in the past, which all died, because to be honest I m not that good with fish. But I have 1 dog, 2 cats, and a kitten which I m really good at taking care of. My parents for some reason don t think I m responsible, when in reality, I can be quite responsible when needed to. THIS ALWAYS INCLUDES ANIMALS. I love animals more than anything but my parents just won t let me at all. I ve been begging for ages but the only reason my mom gives is "I don t want a caged animal" but obviously I ve done my research and you can not have a hamster in a cage, really. You need it to almost be in a terrarium-like-house. They need to be huge... Now I feel bad for my high-school hamster :/ just realized its in the play-school area in a really small cage. ANYWAYS, that s not my point. I wouldn t be able to have one at my dad s house anyways because I only go there every other week and I go to my moms house every day after school. My hamster would die if I had one at my dads. But my mom just keeps saying "I don t want a caged animal" or "I m going to end up taking care of it" And I even said myself that I would pay for it myself. I also don t think its fair that my mom had birds and hamsters growing up... :( HELP PLEASE

I went throught the EXACT same thing you did. Well, my parents made me a deal on if i could keep my room clean for 30 days, we would get one for me. I didnt keep it clean, but i ended up getting one, and my brothers too. See if you can make them a deal on how responsible you are. If your parents are like mine, they will want to see responsibility, Keep your room clean with out them askings, or do the dishes. Make sure they dont have to ask though. Good luck hope it helps!

get another rat or rats, they are the best by far. did you try training your rat? if not explain how amazing it is and how much they will enjoy having the rat around when it can do tricks and is obedient. i have two boy rats they are gorgeous. if you don't know how to train them use this, its great: http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=MasterOfTheMidgets&view=videos the person will tell you all about training your rats (on youtube) and you can leave comments and she will actually be bothered to answer them as she checks often. you could try the guilt trick, saying how much you have missed your beloved rat and don't feel the same without him/her and say that you are so annoide with yourself for only getting one and really want to see what its like having two. if you want to get another rat look at the other questions to do with rats i have answered as they will probs help you with any thing else yhu didn't already know. hope i helped.
