How Can I Get My Youtube Channel Big

HOW TO MAKE IT BIG ON YOUTUBE?

I think the best way to make it big on youtube is...

*Be funny
*Respond to whats going on in the news right now
*Get a good editing system
*Don't make long, boring, forever dragging videos
*Do something the people watching you videos can do or relate to (interactive videos, post video responses, etc)
*If you can't be funny, do videos that help people. Like doing your hair different ways, makeup, etc. How-to videos.
*Review your videos before posting them. Make sure the lighting is good, any effects look real, etc.
*Don't copy off people. It makes you desperate.
*If you can't be funny and can't do how-to's, be whiny and annoying (somewhat like Chris Crocker and the whole Leave Britney Alone bit). It draws a lot of attention.
*If you are really talented, you've got yourself ready. Get a camera and record. You'd be amazed.
*Also, you can experiment with things. You've seen the Will it Blend and the MIcrowave things right? Do something like that.
*Once you've got some people watching, you need to make yourself a good website, get a twitter, facebook, and a myspace. Keep promoting yourself.

Just be yourself and make people laugh.

How big must a YouTube channel be in order for it make $500 per month?

That’s a tough question to answer directly. A bit like asking, how big does a company need to be to make money? In other words, there’s no simple number(subscribers/views/watch minutes) that could tell you precisely how much a channel makes. Furthermore, are we talking gross or net? Most videos have some associated costs. Even if a channel has significant gross revenue, it may be losing money.Pseudo-disclaimers aside, we can do some ballpark estimating. This is what I made off my tiny DIY/Travel channel. This data is for the full year 2017, I’ll actually make nothing in 2018 because I lost my monetization during the great culling of 2018(1000 subs/4000 hrs)For reference, the channel in question, mine, can be found below. If you perhaps were curious what niche we’re talking about, as this greatly effect one’s earning potential:http://www.youtube.com/c/AaronWoodwellWatch Time: 139,613 minutesViews: 45,571Adjusted Youtube Revenue: $87.36 - It’s adjusted because I only montetized my channel from 11/15 onwards. Thus, to come up with the number above, I took my actual revenue from 11/15 and divided by the number of views over the same time period. I then extrapolated out over the whole year.Adjusted Amazon Associates Revenue: $126.98 - Same adjustment calculation as aboveCombined Adjusted Revenue: $214.34So, from these rudimentary figures, one could say I grossed $0.0047 per view in combined revenue. If one is simply seeking the revenue from Youtube/Google ads, the watch time is more important. If primarily seeking Amazon Associates revenue, your number of views is more important. To finally answer your question, only as a rough estimate, and only as it applies to my channel, I would need 106,305 views per month to make $500Interestingly, my theoretical gross income is in-line with what Social Blade says my channel should make:MrDubsworld YouTube Stats, Channel Statistics

How big should a YouTube channel be before you think about monetising it?

You can monetize as soon as you meet the minimum requirements for the Youtube Partner Program. I recommend doing so as soon as the requirements are met.YouTube Partner Program overview, application checklist, & FAQs

How many views must a channel have to get ads from YouTube?

Five years ago, YouTube opened their partner program to everyone. This was a really big deal: it meant anyone could sign up for the service, start uploading videos, and immediately begin making money. This model helped YouTube grow into the web’s biggest video platform, but it has also led to some problems. People were creating accounts that uploaded content owned by other people, sometimes big record labels or movie studios, sometimes other popular YouTube creators. In an effort to combat these bad actors, YouTube has announced a change to its partner program today. From now on, creators won’t be able to turn on monetization until they hit 10,000 lifetime views on their channel. YouTube believes that this threshold will give them a chance to gather enough information on a channel to know if it’s legit. And it won’t be so high as to discourage new independent creators from signing up for the service

How do you get big on youtube?

You have to start with good content. I'll assume you have that and your question is strictly traffic.

The key to internet traffic is all about who is linking. Until you have traffic, you are unlikely to get featured on YouTube itself.

Getting linked by people who matter is the key. Who is linking to you? What is their PageRank? What is their technorati score? How many people view their page each day? Is your content going to appeal to their average visitor, or is it something that they like, but their visitors won't care.

The next question is search results. Are people getting to your video via the search terms you want them too. This may be difficult to measure on YouTube, itself. If you have a blog, you may want to create good SEO friendly posts for each video with either your YouTube video embedded or a link to your page. It is easier to track traffic this way and you have more control over search words and titles. Be sure to ask them to stop by AND comment. Also tell them you have more videos up your sleeve and that they should subscribe to your blog RSS feed AND/OR your YouTube Channel.

Comments, generally, require either a connection (subscriber, friend, family, etc...) or some form of Wow factor.

Subscription, generally, requires either the recommendation of someone whose option they value, or a history of good content. I usually subscribe to blogs that my favorite bloggers reccommend or if I have the time to read a few articles (or watch a few videos) and they are consistently good and of a topic I'm interested in, they I subscribe.

Good Luck.

How do some youtube channels blow up so fast?

I have a YouTube channel and own a few blogs (my gaming blog)If it’s not fake, which can sometimes be the case then it comes down to these things:Viral Mystery Effect: If your content leaves mistery, it gets clicks.People use this to go viral, you may have seen it with 1000 degree knife cutting stuff or The Slow Mo Guys.Titles that start with: “What happens when you…?”Mix that with a nice thumbnail and you have viral magic.Know other YouTubers: If you get involved with one of the many clicks on YouTube you can go from 0 to breaking your first 1 mil subs in 6 months. They get famous on another platform and bring it to YouTube.Examples:Ozzy Reviews (got famous on Facebook)The Gabby Show (got famous on vine)The list goes on.They use good marketing: Tai Lopez - Alex Becker - And many other YouTubers use SEO and marketing to get to the top. This takes a big budget, keyword research and great content and can backfire. They find an untapped niche: Recently life hacks went crazy and a few YouTubers went from 2000 subs straight into the millions within weeks. Here’s an example: This guy went from 0 to over 6 million subscribers in a year: My GearHope this helped, if you have any questions feel free to ask.

I've hit 100,000 views on my YouTube channel, it's a big deal for me but is it something to celebrate with like a video like when you hit 100 subs?

Congratulations for your first 100,000 views! If I were you, I would take this change to gain more subscribers than doing a video to celebrate that achievement. I would produce more high quality content while there is so many people that watching my videos. It would be a big change that my new uploaded video gaining a lot views like before.I know there are so many YouTubers that celebrate when they hit 100,000 subscribers, but if you doing a video to celebrate your 100,000 views, I think no one would watch your video because you don’t have enough subscribers and while it's fun to reach 100.000 views, every day there is a bunch of videos that reaches 100,000 views.Basically it is a big deal for you, but not for other people.
