How Can I Get Myself Motivated

How do I motivate myself to study?

Okay So I have been a very good student this year. Completing all my work before time, learning and acing all the tests. Best in my class even. Now I am one month away from finals and I can t bring myself to study. I just can t do it. My brain can t focus on anything. (may or may not have to do something with a boy band I got obsessed over recently *cough* *cough* BTS) Any advice as to how to force myself to just gwt it over with. Not being productive has really dampened my mood and even when I tell myself that I ll feel good when I get it over with, I still can t bring myself to do it. Please help me. I really really need to do good in finals.

How to motivate myself to go to school?

Some of the kids left school at your age when I was growing up too. I never really understood why. Yes it was hard to go on...yes I felt like leaving days on end too.... There was plenty, I mean plenty of time to pick up sticks and go to work instead of what felt like then, dead end schooling.

But you know why you don't give up so quick. Because High School is so essential to everything. If you want motivation this is how it is, go to school, get your education, then take your break for a bit and you can always work too. But at least if you finish high school you can go on to college or uni....

If you quit now you will be one of the very very very few in your line of work that has not finished high school. When and if in your future you have your own kids do you want to present yourself as someone who quit high school? Think to your future and how you are going to feel because that should be motivating enough for you. Good luck.

How do I motivate myself to exercise?

What is your idea of a workout?  Aerobic, resistance, how long, at home, at the gym etc. etc.?It will only work if you're able to do your workout as part of your daily routine, since having to go somewhere e.g. to the gym or for running outdoors to a park is only for those very well motivated, but doesn't work for most, although I know a young lady whose office is next to a gym, so she exercises two to three times a week after work, doable for many but not for me personally. So what can or will you do?When I was still working (12 hours days, apart from being on call 1 in 6 and for a very long time also running our intensive care unit) after coming home I would have no motivation at all to do anything physical, I just wanted to be with my family.  So I woke up 45 minutes earlier at 6, exercised at home since I was totally unmotivated to go outdoors in the dark to the gym which in NL wouldn't be open anyway (in the US I read they open quite early), after that shaved, showered, got dressed to went to the hospital to work.On the job I climbed stairs and walked where ever I needed to, it has been shown that low intensity physical exertion over a longer time (4-6 hours in total) metabolically is better than 30 minutes of high intensity physical exertion e.g. on an exercise bike see PLOS ONE: Minimal Intensity Physical Activity (Standing and Walking) of Longer Duration Improves Insulin Action and Plasma Lipids More than Shorter Periods of Moderate to Vigorous Exercise (Cycling) in Sedentary Subjects When Energy Expenditure Is ComparableThere are tons of video's on YouTube, and lots of books showing you what you can do at home, without having to take the threshold to go to a gym for a workout.  Simple push-ups, sit-ups, crunches, skipping, kettle bell exercises, climbing stairs repetitively can all be done in the warmth of your own home before or after work. I never read any books, but did look at quite some video's to see what suited me.Up to the present day I do  20-30 minutes of physical exercise every day, more diverse and with better results since I retired, I climb stairs instead of taking the elevator etc.Hope you will be able to have your exercise as you rightly wish!

How to motivate yourself???-???-???-?

I used to have this problem, and one of the best ways of overcoming it and motivating yourself is to write a list, when you have a clear list of things to do, you will seems more motivated towards them, because you will want to complete them and tick them off :) It helps me a lot, it's also a good reminder.
Anther thing is self confidence, if you're thinking, I'm so unmotivated, I can't sleep, I don't want to do my homework, that's exactly how it will be. You won't sleep, and you won't do your homework, however if you start a bit of optimistic thinking, imagining how you will feel when you get to class on time with finished homework and how much more relaxed you'll feel for it, it may help.
Also lack of direction could be a cause, if you don't have something to work towards, make one, like a goal :) Like finish 10 pieces of homework or get to school on time for a week on the run :)
Once you feel a bit better from this do some exercise, it helps to stimulate the brain and release endorphines which will make you feel happier and give you a sense of self accomplishment :) This will boost your self confidence :)

How can i motivate myself to lose weight?

It seems whenever i try to lose weight, i will work out for a couple days, and then suddenly lack the needed motivation to go out and continue.
I am fourteen and i weigh 250 pounds. I cant sprint for more then 30 seconds without breathing like a man with lung cancer and tar build up.

It seems that my mind is used to playing video games, hanging out with friends, or reading instead of working out. My first excuse was "I dont need to worry about it, im a smart kid" but then i realized that my grades aren't that good. And it is because i don't get enough sleep, and that is because i have so much left-over energy i do not use.
I don't care much about gaining muscle, just losing weight.
I have 0% self motivaiton and there is no one here to motivate me.
Please help, what can i do?

How can I motivate myself to loose weight?

I'm 16 years-old and I'm overweight. I would love to have an exercise routine every morning and night to accomplish my goal. But I have no motivation and I feel like every time I get it I can't stick to it. I hate being overweight it's making me unhappy and I've lost the confidence I've had in myself. I'm young and I want to be active and in shape so this doesn't carry on in my adult life so please give me some advice.

How can I motivate myself for driving a car?

Cut the man some slack jesus christ, he was not assuming everyone on here is a guy he is obviously just not good with american grammar. my god, frekin woman always want to create controversy.

Anyway my friend, to motivate yourself you have to just stop thinking about the worst that can happen. Ofcourse you could get into an accident but every accident is not going to come straight to you. You need to learn the basics of driving a car, how to do it, what to do, the laws of where you live, then go to a parking lot to test out the sesitivity of the car and then without hesitation go straight to the road, with or without experience you have to learn some time. That is what i did, my first time ever behind the wheel my father told me to just go about 20 miles away and with his permission i did and since was completly confident behind the wheel.

Why is it that I can't motivate myself? I need others to motivate me. How can I change?

First one must give away the thought that “ I need someone else to motivate me,To keep me on race”.This is something like finding excuse for your own life .People must understand that each and everyone in this world is unique and gifted with unique mindsets and thoughts .When you ask someone else to motivate you. There kind of motivation will be from there own view of life. They may not be knowing your personal problems or struggles. But You may find it motivating because you see them as someone who has achieved something and so whatever they say will be soothing to you. U get adjusted to it.So How could you motivate yourself? This comes from your own mental adjustment. Consider a point in your life when you are put into a new place where everyone around you is new to you. “ You start adjusting yourself. You never seek others help .You start doing everything yourself .Because you know it is you who has to survive and seeking someone else help is impossible”.So according to this you changed your mind, you got adjusted to new environment and you motivated yourself and you did everything yourself. This should be the situation in your daily life. When you feel you are down and you want someone else to motivate you, “Remember, this is your life and the chance is yours. So just sit down, think of your positives, and analyse the problem or the task infront of you. Now plan for the task with what you can . Though you fail, feel proud that you did it yourself without seeking others ” . Practice this and soon you will never seek others to get motivated and am sure that you will have a interesting and challenging life.I would end up by telling that a “Sculpture which is the handwork of someone else is always a stone and not lively, while anything that naturally evolves is true and lively” .So only when you change yourself you are gonna live your true life and if you live a life using others then it's someone else handwork. It is better to ask for guidance to people(not always),but not be dependent on others. Whatever situation you face, surely you will have a solution within you, the thing is people are hesitant to check their own strength and so they depend on others to ease themselves. Only thing needed is a bit of patience and self analysing and a change in your mindset to get yourself MOTIVATED .

How do you keep yourself motivated at work?

Firstly, remind yourself that you have chosen to take this job and stay with it. When life feels like it is happening to you, it is hard to remain enthused about it.

But on to the bigger point:
Many times in my life, I have been presented with an opportunity to really achieve my dreams. Even though it seemed that was what I really wanted, I never went for it. It has recently occurred to me that I've always been more terrified of succeeding than failing. Failing I could handle; I'd done it so many times, and while I may not like it, at least there weren't people critiquing my biggest hopes and dreams. You see, people try to stay away from doing things that they have never done before - call it an old survival instinct (back to the days when trying a new berry might have led to an untimely demise.)
But it is the people who went for it - tried the berry! - that have changed their lives and the world. You think the Beatles ever got where they were by holding back? What about your biggest hero in life?

Well, long story short, I kept repeating that to myself; almost made it my mantra. Now, I do things every day that terrify me - completely terrify me! And I couldn't be happier!! The more I put myself out there, the more amazing my life has become.
(Not bad for a girl who until 3 years ago, couldn't even order a meal for herself, eh?)

Best of luck!
