How can I get rid of ants in my bedroom?

Use a vacuum to suck them up. This is so easy. They are gone in an instant ! Without poison or bad smell in your bedroom.Just empty the bag outside or in your trash away from the house. If you really want to kill them you could spray Raid or cornstarch in the bag once you have sucked them up. Then just toss the bag. Water outside so they will not be attracted to the water inside. They should leave you alone. Works for me!
Here are some other ways to get rid of ants. Short and simple!
If there are only a few you may spay them with water mixed with a little dish soap and then sponge them up.
Toxic pesticide sprays and dusts are poor choices in managing ant populations. Their use can make ant problems worse by causing colonies that reproduce by budding to split up into multiple colonies.(5) Most pesticide applications are not directed at the nest, and because in some species only 5 percent of a colony's workers are out foraging at any one time, they can leave 95 percent of the colony intact.

How do I get rid of ants in my bedroom and bathroom?

I like Terro liquid ant bait. Put it down near where you see them - I use a pop bottle top instead of the cardboard squares that come with the bait.. They carry the bait back to the nest and it will kill the whole nest. I had that problem in my apartment - there must've been a hundred ants all lapping up the poison. I watched where they were coming from and when no more came, I caulked up the hole that they were coming in. Voila, no more ants.

How can I remove ants from my room?

If you want them to move naturally, make sure you clean up all crumbs and foods left out in the open. Try and find where the nest is or just cover all the windowsills, doorways, etc. with peppermint or some vinegar, there are more ways to repel them but cover up entrances with your choice. If you’re looking to kill then, well first you should know killing tiny individual ants is not going to help you since you only need to kill one special ant, the queen. The queen is the only one that lays eggs and if she dies, the rest will also eventually die. Before I became a fan of ants I used to use ant poison. To me, it's the best way because ants have 2 stomachs, one for digesting and one for holding it (that's called the social stomach) they use the social stomach to share food to the rest of the colony. Which is why poison would be the best way. After they fill their social stomachs they will head back and start feeding the rest of the colony and if enough ants have brought some back, the queen might get fed some as well. After she dies the rest will also die since no more ants are being made.

What are some ways to get rid of ants?

Tips to get rid of ants1. Baking SodaBaking soda is one of our favorite natural household products because it’s also one of the most useful natural ingredients for so many of life’s little grievances. But while baking soda is great for humans, it wreaks havoc on ants by disrupting their bodies’ natural chemistry. Create your own natural ant bait by mixing equal parts baking soda and powdered sugar. Pour the mixture into a shallow container (plastic or metal lids work great) and place it near the line of marching insects to attract them to your homemade bait. The ants will take it back to their nest, eat it and rapidly dwindle in numbers, thus saving your pantry and your sanity!2. BoraxBorax works just like baking soda. Mix this traditional household detergent with water, sugar and peanut butter to make a paste (the complete step-by-step recipe can be found here). Punch a few holes in a plastic container, fill it with your borax mixture, secure the lid and place your homemade trap near ants or in any places which may be of interest to these pesky critters.3. ChalkAnts won’t cross a chalk line. While this may seem silly, it’s a fact! The powdery substance disrupts the insects’ pheromone trails – the scent markings which an ant uses to communicate with the other members of its colony. As such, drawing a fresh line of chalk or pouring a line of chalk powder between the ants’ points of entry and their desired food source (e.g., your pantry, cabinets, kitchen trash, etc) will prevent them from reaching their destination.4. Soap & WaterFor a quick fix that will eliminate the ants currently in your home and keep their brethren at bay long enough for you to mix up a more permanent solution, a simple mixture of soap and water will do the trick. Just fill a spray bottle with warm water, add a liberal amount of liquid dish detergent, shake and spray. The soap will coat the ants’ bodies and suffocate them while simultaneously washing away their scent trail so the rest of the colony won’t be able to find whatever delicious snack to which it previously led.

There are lots of ants in my room. How to get rid of them?

Let me tell you how.First: kill any ants in sight, manually. One of the best ways (especially if there are large numbers) is using a bathroom cleaner in a spray bottle.Second: continue to look for more ants (you will not have got them all). While looking, and killing as you go, locate where you think they are coming from.Third: once you think you've killed most of them in sight, and have an idea where they are coming from, use something very strong like a bathroom cleaner, to spray around the area they are coming from. Don't be afraid to soak it. Like seriously use a lot. Flood the hole if there is one.Fourth: clean the crap out of your house, room, wherever you saw them and could imagine them going. Using strong chemicals works well as they follow each other's scents and use them to communicate. You're basically covering all of their tracks. At this point you should have them under control, and they will have to start scavenging from scratch. Maintain a clean house, monitor where they come from, and keep blocking and covering up their paths. They won't cross over areas that have been cleaned by strong scented chemicals. They're smart, they'll find somewhere else to go.

There are many black ants in my new room. How do I get rid of them?

Go to the nearest store that sells essential oils and get a big bottle of peppermint oil. Look carefully at the ant trails to see where they are coming in; watch the little lines of ants coming and going; this will show you their entrances and exits Put peppermint oil on the cotton ball, and thoroughly wipe all the right angles and surfaces of walls/cabinets/baseboards/floor/doorframes and so on where the ants are crawling. The oil eliminates the scent trails, so the ants can’t follow them any more. There will be some poor confused ants that get trapped inside the pepperminted areas, and you just have to sop them up with more oil on more cotton. Your kitchen will smell very pleasantly minty right after you do a “treatment.”Keep doing this over several weeks, every two days or so, and eventually the ants will stop coming in. If you can find holes where they’re getting in, put putty in them or put a peppermint cotton ball there.I had a terrible invasion of ants a couple of years ago, and found this trick on the internet while searching for a non-toxic way to get rid of them. It works. It also repels mice and roaches, so I keep a supply of peppermint oil and cotton balls on hand all the time. I wipe the insides of drawers with it and that’s solved the mouse problem. It kills ants, if it gets on them, but doesn’t kill mice. I don’t know about roaches; they’re pretty tough. This method takes a little work, but it’s well worth the effort, and less expensive than toxic pesticides. I tried traps, and they did nothing.

How can I get rid of ants in my house?

We just moved in this house and it is overrun with ants. According to the pest control people there are fire ants, carpenter ants and argentine ants. They have treated the house inside and out, twice, but I haven't seen a difference. They keep getting into things that aren't even food, such as our clothes, shoes, toys, etc. My daughter can't even sleep in her own bedroom because they are so bad in there and in the spare bedroom. Can somebody please tell me how to get rid of these things and keep them out?? I will pick a best answer so you will get extra points. Thanks!
