Should I grow my hair out or get a buzz cut?

Some guys look good with long hair and some look better with the buzz cut. Just on the hair alone I will turn my head and give a second look at a guy with long hair. I like the long hair.

If you are going to be looking for a job or wanting promotions then you may want to keep it short.

If your young with no job responsiblitys and your leaning towards the long hair go for it now while you can because when you get into the working world it may still be looked down upon and if not that, it is for safety reasons why a employer would want you to keep your hair short. (getting caught in a machine.)

Personally I like long hair, but weigh your options. Long hair takes more work to keep it looking nice. Brushing, conditioner.

Growing your hair out for guys?

i love men with long hair
i think growing it out is a great idea and hair grows about a half inch to an inch a month if you are eating healthy and taking your vitamins.. you see hair feeds on blood so what you eat is very important also try hanging your head off the side of your bed and massaging your scalp every night and also a good brushing if your scalp and hair daily helps too..
good luck..

How long does it take to grow long hair?

Depends on what kind of hair we're talking about. You'll have stubble in a day or two. Head hair will take a month or so to grow back out to a short length, and most likely years to grow out long. For body hair, it'll be undetectable that it was ever shaved in three to four weeks.Hair Usually grows approximately 6 inches a year, so in a week, it would be about an 8th of an inch, a half inch in a month and 6 inches in a year. Other variables would also be that hair grows more in the summer than the winter in the colder regions.A few things that you can do to ensure that your hair follicle remains healthy and your hair is undamaged so it grows the quickest it can, are:Take an inexpensive daily multi vitamin such as ‘ One-A-Day’ or even ‘Flintstones.’ Your hair likes zinc and biotin and both of the above mentioned vitamins contain ample amounts of these. Don’t waste your hard earned money on ‘Super Vitamins.’ Your body only requires so many vitamins per day and simply discharges the excess. You can’t put twenty gallons in a ten gallon tank. In some instances, over dosing on supplements can actually be fatal.Do not brush your hair. With every stroke you damage your hair more. Brush only as much as you need to style your hair, then stop.Buy a good quality brush or comb without a sharp plastic or metal ridges. This is one of the common factors leading to split ends. as is over brushing.Don’t be penny foolish. Buy good quality salon products. The chemicals used in many if not most over the counter shampoos and conditioners, contain very harsh ingredients such as ‘ammonuim laurel sulfate’ which can actually dry your hair out, and cause breakage and split ends. Even worse, many contain a form of silicon, and that can be very bad for your hair.Don’t consist your hair with tight bands, hats, braids and the like. These also lead to split ends and hair breakage. You can find out more, see this blog.

If you are aiming to grow your hair out longer, should you still get a haircut and what is the purpose of doing so?

I had just experienced that this winter.  I was growing out my hair but when I asked for a trim at the salon, my stylist cuts off inches away which was 3-months worth of growth.  When you're growing your hair out, you'll still need to trim it.  Most people cannot do it by themselves, but if you're confident in your ability, trim it.  If not, still get someone professional to do it.  But you'll specially need to ask for a trim, not a cut.  Tell them you only want half an inch or a quarter inch.  The thing is, once you get a trim, it's very subtle to notice, but it's worth it.  Otherwise, your hair is just gonna look like a mob which isn't a problem if you can hide it with a hat or something.  That's what I did in this past winter, I hid my hair in a hat for months.

Does pulled out hair grow back?

When hair is pulled out, we damage the hair follicle. Will the hair grow back? Most likely it will...but not always.Hair grows in stages, and without trying to get too technical, I'll explain. The first stage is the growth stage. This stage lasts a couple of years. This is when you see your hair, and it grows, and basically, how you know it best. The second stage is the renewal stage. This is when the follicle rests. It releases the hair from it's blood supply at the root, and it is getting ready to be replaced with new hair. This stage will last just a couple weeks. The third stage is the resting stage. This is when a new hair has been formed and pushes out the old hair, also known as shedding. In short, if you pull a hair out and damage the papilla, new hair may not grow back, or new hair growth may be retarded. By pulling hair out, you are confusing the cycles, and risk nomal hair growth.

How do I grow out my hair without split ends?

There are several ways to get rid of split ends. The most popular are the following:Regular hair cutting. It is recommended to remove nearly 2.5 cm of your hair in order to prevent split ends. Just cut strands above the dead ends. This way is very easy but in this case you don’t save your hair because trimming off split ends affects your hair length. So, get regular trims preferably every six weeks.Candle cutting. It is the latest trend to get rid of split ends. Burning off the split ends can create a seal in order to protect the repeated hair splitting.Ways to take care of split ends:Use as less chemicals as possible. Regular blow drying, straightening and perming can damage your hair due to silicones, parabens, sulphates and other chemicals.Smooth and moisturize you hair.Don’t wash your hair every day to prevent your hair from dryness.Use gentle natural shampoo without harsh ingredients.Remember to use conditioner after shampooing.Use a wide good quality brush and comb for detangling hair. Try to avoid brushing hair when it is damp.Limit chemical straightening, colouring and other services that damage hair.Use hair serum. All in all, intensive oil treatment, using high quality hair care products, right comb and using some other tips are very effective to prevent split ends.Tips for hair care you can find on Facebook page and Royal Forvita Blog.Hair care products with exclusively natural ingredients for avoiding split ends you can find on Royal Forvita website.
