How Can I Hide The Fact I Am Making Christmas Ornaments For My Parents When They Bought Them For Me

Price tags left on Christmas presents... rude or practical?

Practical is having a gift receipt taped to the package.

I always remove the price tag from the gifts. Taught my kids to do the same. Unless it's for my husband, then I leave it and add zeroes! lol!

To be funny, I'd open the gift from my MIL and remark 'Wow, that's all you paid? What a great deal!' - just to see her face! I know mine would laugh. Our family likes to harass each other. :)

Bottom line - she can only bother you if you let her. Keep a sense of humor about it. Then blow it off. When serious things happen in life is when you realize you had been fretting over small stuff.

Have yourself a peaceful and blessed Christmas!!

Edit - NOW you've hit on my major pet peeve! Chewing with an open mouth. Oh my gosh. If anyone ever wanted to torture me, put me in a room with people who chomp and slurp while eating. Ha ha! Seriously, that is the one thing I cannot handle.

My husband has braces and now does that when he eats. Sometimes I make jokes like "Oh, so is that what meat looks like as it goes into the stomach?". But I am really dying inside!

I try to remember what I learned from an elderly lady who hated it when her husband snored - since he died, that is the one thing she really misses. Now the nights are too quiet. :)

I really do not have any advice that could help you out. I've learned that you cannot change another person no matter how hard you try. So it's all on you to do whatever you can to not let it bother you; I guess preparation is the key. Know that it's coming and be ready for it.

Take care and God bless! :D

Why are people already putting gifts under the Christmas tree when Christmas is 10 days away? Isn't that super materialistic?

This is a question of tradition and personal preference. My best friend has all her presents wrapped and under the tree. They look lovely and add to the festive feeling in her home.I have all the presents stashed away. I’ll wrap them in the two or three evenings leading up to Christmas, and they’ll go under the tree on Christmas Eve night after my son has gone to bed. This adds to the Santa story and the excitement of Christmas morning. The accusation of materialism is a bit odd. Gift giving is an older part of the midwinter celebration than the Nativity is. Giving thoughtful and carefully considered gifts to those in your life is an act of love, so much so that it’s listed as one of the love languages in the popular book addressing that topic.Christmas and midwinter celebrations generally are, for a lot of people, about love and presents and fun and eating too much. There is nothing wrong with that.

Is it too early to start to think about Christmas?

Thanks for the A2A.Yes. It is too bloody early to start to think about Christmas. And I can confidently make this statement despite the fact that the person who wrote this question doesn't make clear what time they have in mind.It is always too early to start to think about Christmas.Mid-November, when the most despicable shops put up their decorations? Too bloody early. The start of December, when the whole world outside the sanctity of your personal abode succumbs to a blanket of tawdry tinsel and cringe-worthy carols? Too bloody early. The week before Christmas, when you have to sidle through heaving throngs at the supermarket just to get a jar of peanut butter? Too bloody early. The work Christmas party? Too bloody early. When a bunch of do-gooders form a candle-holding clot in the park and sing carols? Too bloody early.Christmas Eve, when all you want is to sneak a few cocktails at your favourite bar but it's been overrun by students wearing elf ears? Too bloody early.Christmas morning, when you just want to eat icecream in bed and watch Netflix all day but you have to get up? Too bloody early.Getting in the car for the two-hour drive to your parents’ house? Too bloody early. The moment you step over the threshold of your parents' house and bang that turkey your mother insists on having into the oven? Too bloody early. From here on in, you don't think about Christmas. You just do it. The giving. The receiving. The unwrapping. The oohing and aahing. The hugging and kissing. The cooking. The eating. The wearing of the paper hats out of the crackers. The drinking. Then after all that palaver: the swimming. The napping. The chitchat. The packing up a little bundle of leftovers. The goodbyes. The drive home. Finally … peace. That's the only good time to think about Christmas. When the horror is over for another year and you can reflect fondly on the day while you retire to bed with a ham and stuffing toastie.

How to Cope After Being Disowned by my parents I feel suicidal?

Why are you not asking this question in Easter or Christmas sections? Why are you asking Muslims for help when you detest us so much?
Why don't you ask your fellow christians at Church? Surely the Reverent can help you?

I mean I would give an answer to help you but I know the thought of me sitting here in a Hijab just makes you so, what was it.....oh yeah ''pissed off''. I would hate to add to your unhappiness...

EDIT
Well thank you for the apology and you did not offend me personally but you offend all Muslim women and all women who have and will cover their hair. You are aware Mary mother of Jesus (pbuh) wore Hijab would you be ''pissed off'' at the mother of Jesus (pbuh) I do not think you would. Would you tell Jesus (pbuh) ''the way your mother dresses pisses me off and totally offends me''? I highly doubt you would.

Anyway...
If your parents have chosen to disown you because you left Islam and converted to Christianity there is not much you can do about that now is there? You have no control over how people react to you only how you react to it. If you feel you have chosen the right path and if you feel this is how you want to spend your life, then you have to focus on that. You made your bed and you have to lie in it. You knew when you made these choices how your parents would react surely? So therefor your decision to leave Islam and convert to Christianity came before their opinions and feelings so nothing you can say will change that.
You have to live your life as you see fit and if that means you have to live with your parents disowning you then that's the gig you signed up for. Suicide will not help the situation at all, it will not help your parents and it will not help you. You want to live worshiping Jesus (pbuh) then do that, what would be the point of causing your parents all that heartache just to end the life you choose to lead? Makes no sense for anyone...

What does it mean when a picture falls off a wall?

Hey there! I feel that you have a spirit in the home. A picture like you said doesn't end up way in the middle of the room if it falls from a wall, and not even cracked. And all those 'strange noises & other stuff' is just another indication of paranormal activity. your household should do these things to get rid of it and keep your home clear and peaceful.

#1 Simple but powerful house blessing: http://www.thefourthhealing.com/page8.ph...

#2 Clearance and protection: http://www.thefourthhealing.com/page2.ph...

#3 Awesome bedroom blessing: http://www.mobileprayers.org/prayerbook/...

Take ALL the above steps with confidence and a sincere heart.

I have also found it to bless any property you just moved into, and to do one every month, so as to keep the place spiritually clean and free. You see a property or land may have been used for occult practices, divination, magic, sorcery, witchcraft, which can act as a portal for malevolent spirits. Also if you have anything from the occult like ouija board, tarot cards, spell books etc and anything bought second-hand destroy and get rid of them, because malevolent spirits can and do use such things as portals or doorways into your life.

God bless you<3
