I wanna learn how to scream?
The Zen of Screaming Most Professionals use this DVD or meet with the instructor! I would highly recommend it. It also teaches singing to pitch and breathing correctly. She (Melissa Cross) uses concepts called "the dump", "baby", and "push-up bra" to teach you how to properly use your diaphragm. Great lessons. EDIT: Someone has said that screams are bad for your vocals...correction - they are bad for your vocals when not done safely. This can be taught using the Zen of Screaming.
How long does it take to learn to scream?
i understand how it can damage your voice. But if you do it correctly like using your diaphragm, nothing bad will happen. Just wanted to know how long it takes to master it!

Im pretty much in the same situation as you. I really wanted to learn to scream so i looked all over youtube and looked for dvds and stuff. i went to guitar center and got this dvd called 'The Zen of Screaming' and it was pretty good. i was pissed at first though cuz it didn't really teach me how to scream it just taught me a bunch of breathing techniques but im actually really glad i got it cuz it helped a lot. How can I learn to scream at someone?
I think Will I am and Britney say it best. Let it out once in a while Ca-Bron. But don't make it a habit else people will take you for a military type screamer or basically avoid you.I know there are times when people and the world throws their baggage at you and you just wanna go all Jackie Chan/Jet li on them or Jumbo Jet type Scream.But please if you can keep up the Zen type nature you have. It is truly a rear gift.

How To Really Learn How To Scream For Beginners?
Im 13 and a guy and i really want to learn how to scream... i watched a LOT of tutorials on youtube and they are not helping me because i just dont know where to start. like they tell you how to breath and all which i understand but i just have no idea where to start with screaming. also im into stuff like bring me the horizon, bullet for my valentine, avenged sevenfold, confide, etc.

Any style of singing/vocalisation, even screaming, can be done in a sustainable, non-injurious way. But there are some ‘rules’ to follow and it shouldn’t just be left to chance or trial & error. My suggestion would be to get screaming lessons from the various specialists around the world (depending on where you live). A robust, research-based method that covers safe screaming that’s popular in Europe is Cathrine Sadolin’s “Complete Vocal Technique”: Complete Vocal Technique. Other coaches in the US to check out are Jaime Vendera (known for his ability to smash glass with his acoustic voice) and Melissa Cross (her book “Zen of Screaming” as been previously mentioned on this thread). I’ve been coaching a famous screamer (to sing) and I can confirm that 10 years of screaming doesn’t seem to have cost his vocal health at all. He can scream for hours on end with no problem at all, so it can be done.
