How Can I Learn To Sing Without Voice Lessons

How do I learn to sing good without lessons?

See, it's best if you take singing lessons because the coaches tell you the right tecnique but it's not the only way.

1)I've advised a lot of people who don't take lessons to go onto "Expert Villiage" www.expertvilliage.com
and search for singing.

2)Even youtube has some good vocal training videos.

3)You need to develop several asects, your chest voice/mixed voice, falsetto, head voice, vibrato, modulations and hitting the note properly(most imp)...in order to do that you should consult someone perhaps, join a choir, you will find some vocally trained preofessionals who are eager to help.

4)Does your school have a singing teacher, if so, it's best to tell him that you want to sing.

5)Practcing with a keyboard teaches one about hitting the note, but it WILL NOT tell you if you're singing correctly or not

6)Check out brathing excercises to help you out with the voice control

7)It's all on the internet, it's all out there, and you absolutely do not need a vocal teacher, there are many other ways to develop a nice singing voice.

8)MOST IMPORTANT: Practice..without practice you'll be nothing.
A lot of people dream of singing, but they do not realise that it's a dream that can come true easily with just practive

Hope that helped, best of luck and enjoy singing :)

How can i learn to sing like Jack Bruce? Without singing lessons?

Ok, so my favorite singer is Jack Bruce of cream. I am 14 and my voice is not too low like his. Is there any way of matching pitch with him better without singing lessons? Will listening to his song recordings and singing along help? And will my vocal ability get better as i go through puberty?

How do you improve your singing voice without lessons?

Record your voice and listen to it..check how well are you doing it
Don't force your vocal chords....google to learn how to sing through chest and head separately
Be your own teacher....try to do better each time
Drink lots of fluids and take care of your voice

First practice within your range and then try to improve your range
Be optimistic and don't give up...be strict with yourself but DON'T FORCE!
Good luck :)

Can I learn to sing without a vocal teacher?

Sing daily, even just soft humming will do. The thing is to get your vocal cords used to 'singing'. You'll sound better with practice, even if you don't join any choir/karaoke groups. Read up on proper singing techniques. These include diaphragmmatic breathing, not trying to support your sound from the throat (will grind your vocal cords up quickly), using your abdominal/back muscles to control your voice (how you plan your breath so that you don't run out of air halfway through a phrase, whether you want a louder/softer sound, etc.).

Sing to the radio/CD at home after you have some knowledge on how to use your voice correctly, listen to good singers, try and feel how they put their emotions into their voices. Sing from your heart. But ultimately, if you really want to sing well, you should get a vocal teacher (not a vocal coach, mind you. vocal teachers teach you proper techniques, vocal coaches only help you with the style/interpretation of your singing). Find a vocal teacher whom you feel comfortable with and will be willing to sing out to during lessons. It takes time to overcome that shyness, and you sort of have to force yourself into situations that you can't be shy in, but once you get used to singing in front of a person, you'll find that you won't mind it so much anymore. I was really shy last time, wouldn't even open my mouth to talk to new classmates unless they approach me first. But after I joined performing arts groups in my school, I slowly got over it and now I'm 50% less shy than I was last time. I just started vocal lessons, and I like my teacher a lot. I feel completely comfortable singing to her, with her. And she in turn has helped me loads with my singing in just 3 lessons. I already sound much better because I'm being taught correct techniques. You have to refuse to be shy if you want to be able to sing beautifully.

How to sing better without singing lessons?

Heyy this is me (the guy who asked "What do you think about my singing, and do I have a shot in a singing career?). And honestly, I can't tell exactly "HOW" to "learn" how to sing, but I can say that if you start practicing NOW then I promise you'll get better by adult-teenage years. I mean I'm 15 going after a singing career and it seems as though my voice grows DEEPER and DEEPER EVERYDAY ! Soo I have to drink water and sweet tea and sing just to keep my singing voice active. But anyways all I can tell you is that keep "TRYING" to practice, and drink LOTS & LOTS of water and sweet tea and keep your throat clear. I Tell Myself Everyday, That I Won't Make Anything Out Of Myself, Cause Sometimes I Have Trouble With My Voice (Puberty) Lolz. But If You Like To Sing, Then You Should Keep Practicing Just Like Me ! And I Will Pray For You ! :)

Also below I have included a guy that can help you with your singing. Go to his videos. They can help :) And Add Me --------------------> http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001291028950

Hope I Could Help :)

How do I learn to sing well without any teacher?

Practice the basic notes first. It's like learning the alphabet before writing words or sentences. Try to sing the note as exact as it should be.Practice on a single octave first. Then, as you advance, challenge yourself with some higher or lower octaves. This is known as pitch shifting.Other than practising, take good care of your vocal cords. Have warm water regularly, take warm showers, consume foods which protect and not damage your throat, and keep yourself away from cold and cough, as much as possible. There maybe plenty of online courses abailable for singing, though I recommend a teacher as nothing can beat a real life guidance. Even then, don't give up. Many well-known people in the world have been their own teachers!

How do I learn singing without joining classes?

Youtube has emerged as a great source of learning. Instead if you want , you can join online music academy like Shankarmahadevan academy, A R rehman institute, etc. Rest singing needs regular practice and reyaz. But if you are a complete beginner then I would suggest you to hire a teacher or join classes.Best of luck.

Can singing without singing lessons damage your vocal cords?

not necesarilly

How good could a person get at singing without vocal lessons/training if they practice for years?

Practicing over & over for years will probably make someone really good. This is assuming they used Internet resources, worked scales with a piano and possibly audio assistance with exercises. However, if you are investing years of effort then some lessons if this is at all possible is just so important. Not everyone is dealt the same cards so joining a choir, getting feedback from members and asking questions would be an alternative. My son lost his high notes at puberty. First lesson with a good teacher using a theraband and body techniques and he was hitting the best part of half an octave higher than the week prior. Mind you, this teacher was expensive, but better value than 12 months of a previous teacher.
