How do I unmerge two yahoo email accounts?
Hover over the far right gear icon in Yahoo mail and then click "mail options". Then click "mail accounts" in left column. Select the account and delete it. Note that I am referring to a separate account. If you added a second address to the same account it can't be separated. For example when Yahoo just notified people that the wish list accounts were available they gave a choice of the same account or a separate account. Once done it can't be changed. ℬ ℋ

Hi I was delighted to receive the news that my requested new user name is available. I followed the link to claim, and during the sign up process clicked on the recommended 'link to other account' option. I have since discovered that this means everything on both accounts is duplicated, which is not at all what I wanted - I wanted two completely separated accounts, I neither need nor want mail sent to one account to appear in the inbox of another. I have tried to go into my yahoo settings and unlink the mail, but this has not worked. I have also tried to re register using the link but of course I cannot do so as the name is now registered as taken. Could you please help me go back a stage and re register this as a new account ? I am thinking about linking two Yahoo Accounts together. I wanted to try this with two previous Yahoo accounts. I recall seeing a "link accounts" together buttons maybe a year ago? Now I don't see one. Is their anyway to do this. I think like where saying if my old one is star@yahoo.com and I got a new one, say starburst@yahoo.com, I want emails from my old one (star@yahoo.com) to go to my new ones iinbox (starburst@yahoo.com) Also I was wondering if the Yahoo Answers account would transfer the points (minus the 100 it gives new members, I could care less) along with all my questions and answers. Or just change the email, and sign in with the new one. Sorry if this is confusing. *emails are not real, well they might, but their not my emails*
