Well first off you need to make sure your humidity and temperatures are correct. Hot spot should be 90, ambient/air temperatures should be 80. Humidity should be 45% to 60%. Now if he's feeding on frozen/thawed, try live. If he's eating rats, try a mouse. If he's eating mice, try a rat. A ball python can easily go 6 months without eating and not loose weight at all. There has been cases of ball pythons going a year or more, so no worries there. I believe it is probably fasting to breed. If it's an adult, that's surely what it's doing. In which case, it'll start eating in a couple of months. Just keep offering prey once a week and no more, you don't want to stress it out. On the safe side, have it checked by a herp vet to make sure you don't have anything else playing in the picture like a repiratory infection or parasites. I hope this helps I have to deal with my guys going off feed all the time. As long as your temperatures/humidity are fine and it doesn't have parasites, it'll start feeding any day now :)

My male leopard gecko, Logan, didn't eat for about 4 months before starting again but he had a very fat tail. He didn't use any of his fat oddly. Anyway, it sounds normal for a leopard gecko. They normally don't eat for the first several days to a week or two. Although some do eat on the first day (like my two emaciated females I got). Some leopard geckos don't like mealworms. Have you tried crickets?
