Well, you pretty much know all that is required to create these kind of websites. First things first, it is non-essential for you to know multiple programming languages to develop a website. The ones you know are good enough.Try to break down the problem into smaller parts that can be easily attacked. So facebook, huh, start with a basic system, perhaps using spring (spring-mvc) and HTML to create an application that serves HTML files as requested. Then, start with the core idea of facebook: Users. Create a system that lets users log in and log out. How to do that, use sessions. How to do that? Google. :)Next, create the second core idea of facebook. Relationships. Now this is where modelling would be tricky. Is friendship a 2-way relationship, or a 1-way relationship. Once you have figured all the niceties, go forward and launch.I am not trying to discourage you here, but there is a low risk in people attacking your website on day one. Get your product right. How hard is it to create a website like facebook?
Facebook is not just a website: it is an application, that is, a series of programs that run on servers. It is not hard to develop, but it takes time and programming skills. Any GOOD coder can do it, but not many can reach that level: you can't hope to do it with any kind of wysiwyg! If you look at the web designers here, and their questions, the level of coding (and errors), there are very few real coders here. Yes, you could have asked a company to do it for you, but if, for the very basic Facebook, they asked 1000$, your would have been on the wrong track, and never had it up and running. A basic Facebook would requires a few months work, and several 1000's dollars! (I recently developed a Yahoo Answers style website, 3 months work, 8000$...)
