I know exactly how you feel. You probably came to this conclusion because it's easier to erase something over text before you send it, rather than go back on words that come out of your mouth. It's also easier to think through what you're going to say and to make it perfect over text. As for why you're having trouble speaking to him face-to-face in general, it could ultimately be the type of power you let him have over you. You know that feeling: when all the boy has to do is look at you, and your knees go all jelloid. I don't know if this applies to your situation, and I don't think it was much help, but I wanted to get the point across that you're not alone, if that indeed, is what your boy situation is like.

I think I might have really upset a friend of mine by making an insensitive comment about an issue that, after thinking about it, I think he might be affected by. When I tried to tell him I was sorry he said let's not talk about it. When he says this does he actually mean let's ignore the entire situation, or does he actually still need me to explain and say sorry to him?

You could throw all caution to the wind and actually ask him, in person, why. Many young people have crippling shyness. It is much easier to text than to talk. Why don’t you help him out? Talk to him, but do it kindly and gently. Pretend he’s a horse or a pet dog. He needs to be gentled to come to you.If you have any interest, take the time to develop enough of a relationship to tell if you and he are really interested in each other. Ive asked this question before but the answers were not satisfying or they didn't read it close enough. Anyway, There's a guy I like, his name is Dylan. Dylan and I are in the same history class and we run into each other after school all the time( note: we don't talk to each other). We're both sophomores in high school if that helps anything. Anyway, like I said I like him but I have absolutely no idea how to talk to him. He talks to one of my friends in that class but she's not the type of friend to just walk up to and start talking she's just a desk friend (meaning we only talk when we're at our desks). I always catch Dylan starring at me and vice versa. I really like this guy and I think he likes me back but were both really shy so nothing ever happens between us. I dont wanna keep him waiting forever and I dunno why I keep blaming everything on myself when its the both of us but I seriously dont know what I can do to make this work. Can you forgive someone and still not talk to them?
Absolutely. When you forgive someone it's for yourself, not for them …it 's so that you can move on. So if whatever happened was a relationship breaker you can forgive them and never ever deal with them again in your lifetime.

I'm fifteen years old. Ever since he told me that I cannot talk to him, I haven't... so I really haven't disobeyed him. He probably will notice, but depending on how much you talked, he may or may not do something about it. If you don't want to talk to him anymore, then don't. Don't worry about what he wants since you probably have a good reason not to talk to him in the first place.
