What should I do if i'm watching a scary movie and a girl leans over my side?
So me and my posse go out to watch a scary movie. I don't think they are scary at all. And a female friend, just a female friend of mine. If she leans towards my side what should I do? I feel like i'm suppose to do something. Are girls really even scared of scary movies. It's just cheap scares, and like non-sense. As a Christian I know God is in full control, so I don't worry about it. I usually just fold my arms together and am stiff. So what should I do when a female friend leans over to my side? Next question: Say If it's in another scenario, and I take a girl I like to the movies, and she leans towards me. What should I do then in that case?
Why do we jump when watching a scary movie?
This is a response from your sympathetic nervous system, a part of your nervous system that is not under your direct control. When your senses take in stimuli (like a scary movie) that your brain perceives as being threatening, the SNS produces the "flight or flight" response. Nervous system signals are sent out to certain glands (such as the adrenals located by the kidneys) that release hormones into your blood stream. One of the major hormones that is released by the adrenal glands in response to these signals is epinephrine (also called adrenaline). Adrenaline courses through your blood stream and affects the functioning of a large number of organs and tissues, including the heart and lungs. After a time, the body breaks down the hormone, so its levels decrease in the body. In addition, the parasympathetic nervous system sends signals out to the body to essentially calm down and return to resting state. All this in response to a scary movie we know can't hurt us. So, why do we do it? We have inherited this survival system from our vertebrate ancestors, and over hundreds of millions of years of evolution it has paid off for organisms to over-react when it comes to danger. Better to over-react and possibly be wrong (but survive) than to not react, or react slowly and be dead.

oooooohhhhh interesting! ;) when theres a jumpy part, jump and grab his arm, then dont let go :P when theres a suspense part, snuggle closer to him or grab his hand (while staring intently at the screen so it doesnt look too wierd lol) in the parts inbetween, let your hand slowly drift onto his leg, then when he looks at you give him a flirty smile. A situation of small things affecting big minds.Being a fan of horror genre myself, I can point out some ways to reduce the after effects of watching one.Watch something funny. It helps. Other parts of the mind need to be stimulated to get over this feeling.Remember that there are normal people around you. Your neighbors family. And in country like ours, people are in abundance (jam packed). The paranormal would feel alienated and intimidated themselves. Remember, its not real. Its just a fiction film like the other ones you watch. Even the movies which start with a " based on a true story" slide isn't completely true. Fiction was added to give an twist to make the story line more interest. Particularly talking about getting scared at nights, people who start feeling the presence of other entities around you, remember, its your mind playing games with you. The doubt in mind if you just heard a tap on the window or knock at the door, its all in your head. Do you hear any knocks after watching a romcom ? Does this mean a non horror movie keeps ghosts at bay ?If ghosts existed, they would not wait for you to watch a horror movie, they would make an appearance long before.If nothing like that happened before, why would it be now.Unfortunately, fear is arguably the strongest emotion of the mind. Logic doesn't get to us when we are scared. Hope it does now. :)

Will I get haunted if I watch scary movies?

No, definitely no. i love to watch them and if u r offended by certain ffeatures or graphics of films, i recommend u don't watch satanic films like the exorcist etc... but if they were haunting you or having a bad effect on humans, hollywood and producers wouldn't continue their trail of bringing out top movies and low scoring horror/scary movies It's ok to watch them :). i love scary movies and they don't invite the devil or evil once u don't get too "inspired" by them

Probably. Some folks with anxiety are “able” to absorb the emotion as if they are directly living the experience they are seeing. For them, probably not good to pack more anxiety-producing material in the mental vault. If you are college age and slightly anxious about travel, do not see “Hostel” before going to Europe (or “Taken”).
How can I control my imagination after watching a scary movie?
Watch it again. The scariest movie I thought I ever saw was the sixth sense. I watched it three times and now it just feels blaaaah. So, watch it again. That's bound to reduce all your fears and make you realize its nothing but fake actors in fancy costumes!

Trust in jehovah.(psalms 55;22).that is what the bible said.we are also told in dueteronomy 18;whole chapter that we would not even want to be mentioning the things you've just seen.stay away from demonic things.i am one of jehovahs witnesses and i from gods word the bible read these things i have mentioned here.read your bible.we have a bible based publication called what the bible really teach.its not the bible but its centered around it.the bible that is.chapter ten deals with what im talking about.pray to jehovah through jesus christ name.(psalms 83;18)and you will sleep.youll still be scared but feel so much better.if you happen to read these scriptures and have questions ask anyone of jehovahs witnesses.or if you want to read chap 10 of this book then ask us for it.when we knock on your door eventually.and please dont listen to people who bad mouth us.we are not perfect but most of us try our best to live according to the bible.you take care.stop watching crazy movies.pray and trust in god.and think about that free home bible study.i wish you well.hope this helped.bye......p.s get some sleep.lol
Why do I have nightmares after I watch a scary movie?
I have this same problem. In fact last night I saw INSIDIOUS and didn't sleep at all - the entire night I was plagued by nightmares (even though I was not alone bcos after watching the movie I asked my mom to sleep in my room!).
