How to make myself look better?

Actually very little is wrong with you, but here are some concrete things you can do if you're dead-set on making changes. Oh, and "freshman" is American English for first year of high school (of the four years we go).

1. Buy shoes with a 1 or 2 inch heel and keep them on. You're not short, the average UK woman is 1.634 m (5 ft 4 1⁄2 in). But this will at least keep you from looking up at too many people. Don't get higher; you risk looking ridiculous!
2. If you've got no shape (just straight up and down like a stick) or are "underdeveloped" for your age, dress in layers. Make it your style.
3. Ignore your big nose and keep your mouth closed. Practice smiling closed-mouth so you can still look like a cheery person. But don't pull funny faces when you talk; just be nonchalant about it when you must open your mouth. When you are better skilled at makeup, use contouring techniques to disguise your nose. Don't try it yet, you'll just draw more attention to it. Youtube has videos on it.
4. Figure out what kind of skin you have and start a gentle cleansing regime. Your skin will likely change as you get older so re-test every once in awhile. Don't pick at your face or even touch it really. Keep your hair back as often as possible (like all the time at home) and change your pillowcases as often as possible.
5. Put makeup on your face. I recommend Bare Escentuals. I sleep in it and have never broken out; you should wash it off though. You'll want to go to a shop to be color matched if you can. If not, just get as close as you can and order online. Get foundation and a brush (medium to full coverage) at the least. That will disguise most of your freckles and turn the pimple redness back to whatever color you're supposed to be (very fair is my guess). It's a silky powder so you just keep layering until you look alright. If you want, then add a brown (or even blonde) mascara. Don't use black! This will draw attention back to your eyes. If you find you have no visible eyebrows, use a brush to add (subtle) color to your eyebrows, like brown again. Be careful with pencils, they can look ridiculous when you don't have skills.
6. Now, look people in the face when you talk to them. There is a saying that goes "fake it until you make it". Lots of people are very good at faking; don't be afraid to be one of them.

Good luck on You 2.0! Have fun.

I've been told I look like a lot of people, but usually I get Angelina Jolie, Christina Ricci, Audry Hepburn, or Amanda steyford

How can I make myself look happier?

You have to practise this in front of a mirror a little bit, but it is worth the effort. First, totally relax all the muscles in your face. You want your face to be as smooth as possible. Then turn up the corners of your mouth ever so slightly. Most people will achieve a "pleasant" sort of look. Not exactly happy, but content, maybe. If you work at it a bit, you can get into the habit of this being your "default" look. It does require some effort - kind of like learning to have good posture. But it works.
