How Can I Move Files On My Android

How can I move files from a laptop to an SD card in Android?

Pretty simple.1. Connect the android phone to your laptop using a data cable or USB cable, install it's drivers, if any. Android phones don't need specific drivers, if all you want to do is data transfer. Even windows phone don't need drivers. IPhones can only be connected by using iTunes I guess. Once connected, the system will detect your phone. Open it. It'll show your internal memory as one drive and sd card as the other. That's it. Now you can copy data to the smartphone and from the smartphone.2. Alternatively you can use an SD cars adapter generally provided with the sd cards. Insert your sd card in it and connect the sd card adapter in the sd card adapter of your laptop. Gives much better daga transfer speed than the method above.3. Use data transfer apps like ShareIt(has a client application for your laptop as well, download it) or Xender (directly connect through the browser). Procedure to connect your laptop can be found in these apps.Tip:- In some cases, android debugging needs to be enabled for data transfer. Do that by enabling usb debugging in the developer options. You can unlock the developer options if not already done. Go to settings, scroll down to build number and start touching it until you get a message like developer options unlocked or you are now a developer or whatever. Once done, go back to main settings screen and then goto developer settings, scroll down to find the usb debugging option and enable it.That's it

Android app to transfer files?

I am ok with technology but not good with the in depth with the hardcore techy geek stuff. just the basics pretty much. Anyway, i am looking for a cheap, preferably free though, application where I can move music to and from my android phone /computer/ android tablet. ive seen dropbox apps but it seems like i can only access info from the app itself. for example, songs have to be opened from dropbox, they dont go into my music app, and pics have to be opened the same way, nstead of going straight into the devices gallery. is there any way i can get files to go into their "proper" places outside of the app?? more detail will get the best answer. thanks! :)
