How Can I Play Cod4 On My Low End Laptop

Why is my laptop shutting down every time I Play a game?

See the reason for this is definitely not your battery being dead. When a normal battery gets fully charged, the computer automatically makes the connection direct. This is just happening all the time in your case. One problem can be that your Graphics memory is going out of range else your RAM is going out of range. This can be confirmed if you see a blue screen showing memory dump. The second reason can be overheating. You said you have a Dell laptop. So, when you start your system, go to the Dell System test and do a stress test. Then you'll know what is the max level of heat your laptop is reaching. If it goes over 95 degree C, you must contact Dell.I don't see any third reason behind this.

A laptop for a gamer and a student?

Those requirements are contradictory, lightweight laptops tend to not be very powerful.

If you want to avoid Vista you'll probably need to get one of the models aimed at businesses (not such a bad thing though) which tend to actually still come with XP (they are sold with Vista but you get the rights to upgrade to XP which can be exercised by the manufacturer on your behalf), that would mean things like the Toshiba Tecra, Dell Latitude, etc (which also seem to be better built along with being available with anti-glare screens that don't reflect the fluorescent lights in the ceiling right into your eye). The other way to avoid Vista is to get a macintoy or an ordinary laptop and put Linux on it.

As for the specifications you'll want to avoid 17" screen laptops (they are not by any means portable) and probably want to avoid 15.4" screen laptops (though one would be quite acceptable to carry around with you), a 14.1" screen would be about the right size (any smaller and you'll compromise performance too much). You will want to get dedicated graphics though.

Would a laptop with SIS M672, 2gb RAM and a dual core processor be any good for games?

world of warcraft runs fine on my pc which has much lower specs than the laptop described. WoW isnt very high spec at all, the laptop is actualy primerily for WoW, but i want to play other games on it too like maybe some need for speed and other Xbox 360 titles, which i understand will probably require a decent graphics card, and possibly 3gb ram, according to EA test lab though, the laptop as it is should run almost all EA games fine. Im just wondering, is there any alternatives?

What good PC games can my new laptop Sony -VAIO VGN-FZ430E/B handle? COD4 I hope?

Not very good games. That laptop only has intergrated graphics and you can't upgrade it. So you wouldn't be able to play COD4. You would be able to play things like sims.

Will 6-7 hours of gaming ruin or slow down my laptop? I am a little worried about my laptop since it is not a high-end one

Gaming or using your laptop for a long duration never ruins a laptop. The problem is the “heat” - this is what ruins every tech thing. Heating too much usually makes your pc hang or too much heat can even damage some micro parts in your pc.You should keep your laptop on an plain surface so that heat escapes from down. Place it on an airy area, for example you can switch on the room’s fan.A safe temperature for your processor should be maximum 65 degree Celsius.I follow these things always when I use my laptop so I’ve never faced any performance issues when I play games for 3-4 hours though.

Which laptop under Rs 40000 can run GTA 5 smoothly?

You are not asking about settings so you don't know much, OK I'll make the answer ready add possibleWhen you buy a TV, you see clarity of it 720p is normal hd tv and 1080p is full HD means more clear.Just like in GTA 5 you can play on 720p medium settings not much smoothly. But if you build a PC (not branded ) then you can obviously play on very high settings smoothNow I'll tell you what they are saying in answers 30 fps, 60 fpsYou know how TV work, different images are shown per second so, we see it's moving. In TV 30 images are shown pretty second called frame per sec. In game 30fps is little rough not smooth while 60fps is very smooth. You should get at least 50 fps for smoothness.I recommend you not but a laptop instead but a PC.Or you can probably buy a laptop with 8gb ram, i5 (at least 3 ghz speed), Nvidia 2gb Graphics.Check it out

Graphics card under 100 for Dell Optiplex 755?

For $100 you should be able to get at LEAST 1gb of GDDR5. The more ram on your gpu (graphics processing unit), the more ram you have free for your cpu. All in all, everything will run faster. The graphics card you found is extremely outdated and I don't recommend it at all.

You should be able to buy a Radeon HD 6xxx (the generation just before the newest 7xxx series of AMD cards) for little to no hassle. Something like the 6670 might be nice. An Asus 6670 sells for $89 on Amazon. Other manufacturers are cheaper, but their build quality might also be lower. Keep that in mind. XFX (I'm a loyal customer of theirs) and occasionally Sapphire are good alternatives. (http://www.amazon.com/EAH6670-DIS-1GD5-Radeon-128-bit/dp/B004X8EODY/)

What you suggested is a valid choice, but keep in mind that the 6670 was released 3 years after the 2900. That means better driver support and better architecture. The 6670 will display games better than the 2900. This seems to be more in line with what you want out of the card.

However, this all depends on the PCIe sockets on your motherboard. Older boards require older cards, you give the BIOS version, but not whether your PCIe sockets are x16, x8, or x4. The card I mentioned runs best on a PCIe x16 slot. You can find out what socket you have by reading any text on the motherboard near them (but sometimes mass-produced desktops use aftermarket mobos that aren't labeled) or finding a picture of PCIe slots and comparing them. The latter might be the best route; they all look pretty different.

Another way to find a good card is research, but use good keywords. Google 'best graphics cards under $100' and consumer reports or IGN or someplace like that will give you a list of CURRENT graphics cards that fit your needs. Falling back on a legacy card like the one you suggested means little to no support from AMD, and maybe even drivers that don't work with your version of Windows.

Now that I'm done nerding out, I wish you the best of luck upgrading your rig!
