Music only plays through one headphone.?
this started happening about a week ago. at first i thought maybe my headphones were just about done because I've have them for about two years. Then I tried different headphones from around the house,and I could still only hear music in the right ear. If I move the headphones around a bit while the song is playing it'll get a little static and eventually play a little bit in both ears then about 5 seconds later it'll go back to just playing in one ear. I've only had my Ipod Touch for about two years.And personally,it kind of irritates me when I can only hear music from one ear. so has this happened to anyone else before?

It's really hard to say what it is without being able to see the headphones and the iphone itself but here is what i think. Have you dropped your iphone at all or had any water come in contact with it? if not you can try some of these things if either of the above has happened chances are you have done damage. go to Settings > Music > see if the volume limit is on also make sure your silencer is off the little switch on the side if none of the above helped try restoring your phone with itunes you can find an article here about that: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US BE CAREFULL THIS WILL ERASE EVERYTHING ON YOUR PHONE. make sure you back up if that doesnt work you will need to call apple not to worry because you are probabley still under warranty you will need to mail it to them or go to an apple store genius bar.

I had the same problem with my PHILIPS BASS+ earphones ,i found out that the jack was damaged and was subtracting left from right sounds of the earphones.I switched the sound settings from balanced to right/left and they are working fine now.

If you have the phone connected to the cars audio system via USB, there’s no reason to need headphones at the same time. That’s technology’s way of telling you that having both operating at the same time is redundant and unnecessary.You can just listen to it through your stereo. And using headphones while driving is dangerous. Don’t do that.
