When I try to sing louder, I sound worse. How do I project my voice and maintain a nice quality?
You are probably straining. The way to produce more sound is to increase the air flow and pressure evenly. You are probably lacking breath support. Projection comes with control of steady airflow and knowing how to produce resonance in your voice. You should find a good teacher who can guide you, so that you know how to use your vocal instrument to make the best quality, healthiest sound it can produce.

I joined as a fresher, I was relocated twice in one complete year, they were not able to bring any projects which matched my skill set and finally asked me to put down my papers. HR’s phone call goes this way.HR: Am I speaking to X?Me: YesHR: My name is Y, I am calling from Tech Mahindra’s HR team. This call is regarding your exit procedure. As you are aware that your business wait has exceeded maximum days. And you have to leave the organization. If you put down your papers now by 12 Noon(She called me at 10:30Am) we will treat it as a normal exit and your last working is tomorrow.Me: Ok, But I am in journey and I don’t have access to internet. More over I have moved to every location my IBU has asked me to move. They have promised me project if I move to that location and I am working in POC’s as well. How can you do this to me now? I am just fresher I don’t have any other experience. If I am fired now which organization will hire me with out any experience in real time? How can I look for other projects, do I not even trust my manager(I was on tears while answering the call)HR: Who asked you to trust them? For one day you can wait for 3 months who asked you to trust? I don’t care if you are in journey, I want to see your exit by 12 Noon. I can tell you about my experience.1st dayWe were called at one of the Accenture campuses in Bangalorewith all our documents including(3 copis of each):7 mark-sheets of 7 sems and provisional of 8th10th and 12th class mark-sheetsID proof(Adhar card/Voter Id/Driving License/Passport)PAN Card(Most Important)Joining Letter(You can show in your phone)Passport size photographsUpdated ResumeWe entered in campus in a row and we were provided our temporary ID card valid for 1 year but after 2 weeks only they will provide you your permanent IDs.After this we all gathered in a huge hall. A person came and gave us a Welcome speech and told us to have a tea break arranged by them. After tea all we 320 candidates again gathered in that huge hall and document formalities got started. For 3 long hours it continued, they made sure that each and every candidate had all the document. Then we had lunch arranged by them only. Lunch was good almost everything was there you love to eat.Lunch break was of 1 hour so rest of the time we spent in visiting campus, and it was so cool.There was a huge gymnasium. Almost each and every fitness equipment was there. We tried to go inside, but it was restricted for us. For getting access of gym we need to have Accenture Doctor’s confirmation that we are healthy enough to get in. That now I have :)After this we went to see Cafeteria. Cafeteria was so big, and big means really big.Small small stalls for each kind of food were there with full cleanliness and hygiene. The best thing about Accenture cafeterias is food is good and prices are very less almost half of outside food.Next was Playroom that includes cool games inside. In case you have free time and you want to fresh your mind. Then you have great options.FoosballCarromPoolTable tennis.and many more. So like this 1 hour completed and we all again gathered in hall.After that again they continued with the document formalities. They called each and every candidate one by one alphabetically(Names). (And I counted, 17 Abhisheks were there :P). Well this has nothing to do with this topic, just for fun :P.They gathered all necessary documents from all candidates. And the day ended @7:30 pm. We were so tired and ready to sleep.
