How do I convert an RAR file (.rar) into an ISO file?
In most cases, you want the files and folders inside the RAR file to be written to a CD or DVD, not the rar file itself. If you want the ISO file to contain a single .rar file, instead of the contents of the extracted .RAR file, then you can skip step 2 and 3.If you are starting with a RAR file, you first need to extract the RAR file, using WinRAR, or 7zip.Install either of these programs, then right click the file, and choose Extract to then select a folder to extract it to.I would then recommend using the free tool ImgBurn, and select the option Create image file from files/foldersNext you will see this window below:You can either drag the RAR file’s extracted contents into the large blank white area in the top left corner of this window, or you can click the top yellow folder icon with the magnifying glass on it beside Source, and select the folder containing the extracted files.Once this is done, click the yellow folder icon beside Destination, to select where to save the ISO file to.Click the Options, Labels and Advanced tabs in the top right corner of the window to see other options. The label is the name of the disc. The other options allow things like creating a bootable disc, or setting restrictions.Click the Folder to Disc image in the bottom left of this window to start the “burning” process.
