How Can I Remove Someone From My Home

How can I have someone removed from my home that lives there but is not on the lease?

We have let him live with us since he got evicted from his last place however we are changing over the lease from the original 3 tenants to all new people but one. I need him out but he refuses till he gets his security deposit back. However we are willing to give it to him but he needs to get out as he didnt pay rent last month. What are my legal options in NV? I was just going to take all of his stuff and put it outside and lock the doors. Is that legal?

How do remove someone from your home that i no longer want there? He is on probation?

Healthy boundaries. Worry about what is yours and let him worry about what's his. Can he go back to where he was? Can his PO help him? Do I have to pack his thing for him? Do I need to help him carry his things?

No.

OK. You sit down, the three of you, and you have an adult conversation. I know that it's difficult to have an adult conversation with an addict (this kind of behavior has to be an alcoholic or drug addict). But try. Tell him that this isn't work out, and that you need him to move out. "We can still be friends, I just don't want you to live here". Then give him a few days to move. Don't worry about where he moves to, that's his business. If his PO needs to be called, or he needs to call social services, then he can do that. Don't do it for him.

I know. Addicts have a way of making you feel like it's your responsibility. That you need to find him another place to live.

To get him thrown out by the police you have to file an eviction in court, and in most places it takes 30 days. But I don't think it needs to come to that.

How do I remove someone off my Section 8 Voucher?

You call your case worker at Housing and let her/him know within 10 days that a family member has moved out. You are required to report all changes in household and income. That IS what you must do first. If you dont like your case worker, speak to a supervisor. You must inform the landlord also. There may be paperwork for that person to complete.

Can the police make someone leave your home?

I have a 29 year old male relative that will not leave my home where my mother and I live. He causes nothing but disruption. I am not exaggerrating when I say that he watches tv 12 hours a day, eats, sleeps, and thats it. He is not bringing any money in, (never has), doesn't intend to, and also doesnt intend on getting his own place AT ALL. he never has.
He has alcohol problems and needs to be taken somewhere where he can live and they will help him.

He has two paper bags full of his clothing here, and gets letters delivered here only because he owes thousands in medical bills.

basically, for years and years he keeps coming back to this house and it is aways very hard to get him to leave. he always comes back anyway. He's 29. he needs help and a permanent home OUTSIDE of here. im 18, going away to college soon and my mom cant deal with this anymore. i want to leave knowing my brother wont come back again.

basically, if i call the police today, will they be able to make him vacate the premesis immediately- or at least drive him somewhere where there are people who can help him??

How can I remove black magic from my home?

Depends on what you mean by ‘black magic’.If you know that you’ve been attacked by a witch or other practitioner, you need to be doing something like wearing chillies or ‘cleaning’ the house by waving a raw egg around the afflicted area (still inside it’s shell). You can also use a mirror and chant something like:‘Mirror, mirror, on the wall,Send it back, send it allAll the curses, all the painAll our sufferings for another’s gainReturn to sender, let it goBad luck here, will not grow.’If it’s just negative energy, burn (safely) something like rosemary or sage, while walking from the back to the front of the house. If someone refuses to leave my house, can I physically remove them?

"In California, if someone is in your house and refuses to leave when asked, are you able to physically remove them?"

If you're bigger and stronger than them, then you're probably able to remove them, yes.

By doing so, however, you open yourself up to criminal charges for battery, and to a civil lawsuit should they get hurt in the process.

"I had a drunken woman in my kitchen at 3am in the morning"

If you allowed her to GET drunk in your home, that might also make you civilly liable for any injuries she sustained, even if just by falling over. If she left your house drunk, drove home and killed someone, you could be liable for THEIR damages too.

Next time, call the cops and let THEM put her out.

Can I legally physically remove someone from my house if they refuse to leave in NJ?

If a would-be home invader kicks down your door in the middle of the night and you overpower them before the police arrive, sure.Otherwise, probably not.If the person is a trespasser but offers and threatens no violence to you, you’ll have to call the police. If the person is someone who’s been living there with your permission, even the police won’t help, and you’ll have to hire an attorney, unless the person has been physically violent or threatening toward you , in which case the police can help you get a protection order and once that’s obtained, will remove the person from the house.

If someone I invited to my home refuses to leave, can I uses force to remove them?

Yes, force is justified, but you aren’t the one who applies it.Go into another room, so they aren’t alerted, and call police. Let them come apply any necessary force. After the cops arrive, there are a couple of possibilities. They will arrest the guest for Criminal Trespass because you told him to leave and he refused. They will tell the guest to leave, and arrest him for Criminal Trespass if he still refuses.Anything you do physically presents a possibility of you (or both of you) being arrested inside your own living room.Even a verbal threat of harm if they don’t leave can be construed as Simple Assault, and find you in handcuffs, or given an appearance summons by the responding cops.Threaten them with calling the cops, if you want to, but not with any physical harm; best move is to simply call police and let it be a surprise when they show up.
