How Can I Save Money And Get Myself Better Organized To Deal With This Problem

What can I put my bracelet string in to be more organized?

I have always kept mine wound on the plastic bobbins they sell at crafts stores and then all of them placed into the bead boxes that are made to fit things like that. I'm not sure why you say you don't like that idea, as it's kept me very orgazined and it's easy to label the bobbins and see exactly what I have at all times. It's also very portable. I don't think the boxes or the bobbins are very expensive, although you could save some money and buy the cardboard bobbins instead, if they still make them. Or, you could even make your own bobbins for free out of scrap cardboard - then they could be any size you find works best for you.

If you don't want to take the time to wind all your thread onto bobbins, you can store the skeins whole. Once upon a time, DMC used to make small bags, like ziplock bags, that were designed to hold a skein and had a section to write on to label it, then it had a hole in the corner so you could string several bags onto a metal ring to hold them all together. That's how my mom used to store her thread way back when she was still doing cross stitch. I don't know if they still make the bags, but you could do something similar yourself with ziplocks or maybe the clear bags they sell in the jewelry department of some craft shops.

Other ideas, you could buy one (or more) of those mini 3-drawer units made by Sterlite or Rubbermaid that they sell at places like Walmart, or for larger drawers the ones they sell at craft stores for storing scrapbook paper. You could store the thread on bobbins or as whole skeins in the drawers and label them by color family, thread number, or however else you wanted to organize it. A silverware tray would also be good for holding whole skeins and you could stack a few trays on top of one another. That wouldn't be very portable, however. Also not portable would be a pegboard that you could hang them on.

That's about all I can think of. Like I said, I use the bobbins and bead box and it works great for me. But everybody likes their own way of doing things - if your big ziplock bag is working for you, then there's no reason to change just because other people tell you to. If it's not working, though, and you really do want to reorganize, then I hope something I suggested will help you out.

Should Canada legalize marijuana and sell it like cigarettes and liquor?

Yes, maybe it will help the US see our policy is stupid. While I myself do not smoke the herb, I did for many years. I see no problem with it. I smoked it for 20 years and own my own business, own my own home. Have been married for 26 years and travel extensively. I don't think marijuana is very harmful. Certainly less so than tobacco and alcohol.

Can you leave a fixed term employment contract early?

I recently lost my job at the end of 2012, my plan was to take a career break this year around May. Needing to save more money I recently got myself a new job, but its a fixed term contract for 12 month.

My initial plan is to work 3-6 months and take the rest of the year off, but now with this job can I still leave without completing the 12 months contract or I need to wait it out?

or

Do I just give them an advance noticed

I didn't know it was a fixed term until they told me today.

How can you save money when you barely make enough money to cover bills without getting another job.?

I know many people who claim to be hard up and yet they earn more money than me. They borrow from me because they run out of money!! How can it be when they have a smaller family, less bills, no car to run, ect ect?
Well, I figure that the facts are they buy DVD's, CD's, eat out regularly, go cinema play bowls, go drinking and clubbing weekly. I don't do these things except very rarely as a treat. Maybe to some that means not much of a life, but to me it is the difference between having enough money to last the month and not having it. Simple!
