How To Convince Your Parents To Get A Puppy?

That hapened to me to,so I cleaned my room and the whole house, and I got good grades and watched dog shows so they can see how interested i am in dogs and they said yes

Good luck!

How can I convince my parents to get me a golden retriever?

Don't you hate it when your parents each tell you something different. Since your dad said you could get one when you can pay for it start saving your money. Mom said you can get it when you move out.you will be 18 in two years. I bet you can have the money saved up by then.

Take some time to think about what you plan on doing after highschool. If you are living on your own and working will you have the time for the dog. will you be able to find housing with the dog, and will you have enough money to support yourself and the dog. And then if you plan on going to a university...dogs are generaly not allowed on campus and you can not keep a dog in your dorm room. Will you have he time and finances to have a dog two years from now.

How can i convince my mom to get a goldendoodle for my birthday? (and is this breeder reliabled?)?

Wow! A lot of questions. First to start, don't ignore you mom's concern for her allergies. They aren't fun. You should be sensitive to it. Second, kind of a two-fer, go see the breeder. You mom should go as well to see how she reacts to the dogs. In the same thread, a reliable breeder will guarantee their dogs if there is a problem. They should have people who are willing to vouch for them (the breeder and the dogs). As you are out at the breeder's facility, ask to see the parents. Are the dogs in good health? What does their housing look like? Additionally, do you have friend(s) that can go with you as 1) a witness, and 2) who has bought from breeders before? Also, why are you looking at getting another dog is a good question to be looking at. Are you looking to replace your poor old poodle? Have you thought that maybe your mom is "upset" at your poodle having limited time? I don't know the whole scope of your situation (i.e. are you going to college any time soon and leaving a dog with her while you are gone). As to your mom's reasons, just because you don't think there are good reasons doesn't mean there aren't. Talk to her about it some more and find out if the allergies is the only reason she has concerns.

A side note, it is generally not a good idea to bring a dog home on an occasion because it stresses them out too much. Find a better time than when there is a lot of "whopla" going on when you can calmly introduce the dog.

It sounds like you are in school. Please take this time to be understanding of others and not just with your own agenda (I know this might sound harsh to you, but this is from someone undoubtedly older than you). Your mom's feelings count too.

Good luck!

I Really Want a Puppy... What Kind?

Do some research. There are many sites ranging from ones put out by Pedigree and Animal planet, to those of the American Kennel Club that will have questionnaires designed to help you choose a breed that is right for you.

Finding an obedient puppy, for starters though, just won't happen. Dogs have to be trained to be obedient. It's more than just time. It's responsibility. You have to be consistent every day in what you teach your dog. If you don't teach him anything or incorrectly, it will not behave no matter what kind it is.

Also, dogs run higher temperatures than people, so any dog that's alive will be warm.

As for fuzzy, that will usually mean a dog with longer hair which will mean a lot of shedding and a lot of brushing. So, if you don't mind brushing your dog at least three times a week, and don't mind getting hair all over your house, furniture, clothes and yard, then get a fuzzy dog. (I have nothing against fuzzy dogs. Mine is fuzzy)

And no one can tell you what dogs you think are cute except for you. Some people like big dogs with lots of wrinkles. Others like little dogs with pointy ears. Some even like dogs with long floppy ears.

So, I suggest you do some research, look at pictures, read a little, and figure out your perfect dog for yourself. That is, if you're still sure that having a dog is the thing for you. Then, with that in mind, check out your local animal shelter and see if they have any puppies that might fit your favorite breed types. You might get lucky and help out a puppy in need, as well as the animal shelter..
