How Can I Stop Being Sad

How can I stop being sad?

I know I'm not depressed. But I guess I'm just sad.
I am 15, and I'm generally a very happy person. I have a great family and I get straight A's. My social life in school isn't great, but I manage. I just got a new puppy, and the change is really affecting me. I keep remembering the memories we had with just the animals I've had for years. And ever since we got the new puppy I've felt weird. Like everything seems different and weird and kind of sad. Which is odd cause its just a puppy. I just hate change.
Also, my birthday is on Thursday and I guess I'm just sad because I don't want to grow up so fast, I mean, I'm almost in college.
And my dad is going on a business trip for two weeks soon and I will really miss him.
How can I calm down and stop being sad? I mean, I just want to feel back to normal. What do I do?

How can I stop feeling sad all the time?

Hey ! You know what , I am going through a somewhat similar phase like yours. I want to answer this question because I can understand this situation and feel it too.I expect too much from myself sometimes which overpowers my talent.I used to be a confident person who believed in herself and her hard work. But sometimes some situations makes us weak. After all we need to strengthen our weaknesses .Like you I always try to motivate myself from the defeats I face but sadness remains. But to conquer it, every morning when I see the sun rising up, birds chirping I feel my problems are so small in the enormous world. If you think widely, somewhere in future you might not remember these problems, this will happen only If your present is happy. Happiness is the best medicine. If you work with satisfaction and joy these problems will only guide you to a way to grow , to learn and to overcome them. You are lucky from millions of other people who are physically and mentally retarded, poor , homeless. Realize your importance and take these problems as challenges , you'll be happy and life will be beautiful :)

How do I stop the sadness?

There is no easy answer for your question. If you think about death and dying then it wouldn’t hurt to see a psychiatrist (not a psychologist). A psychiatrist is an actual medical doctor. Thinking about dying all the time is not healthyIt’s very easy to fall into the trap of depression. Once the depression sets in for longer than a few weeks it can potentially spiral even deeper and require much longer to find normality. The thing to remember is the more you allow yourself to dwell on your problems the worse it gets. A proven cure for this is to focus on someone else. It can be friend or a perfect stranger. Just find someone who needs a little help that you are able to provide. By taking your mind off your own problems, your grief goes away, and by helping someone with their problems you heal yours. In regards to love relationships, the only advice I can offer is to try and understand that true love is unconditional and cannot be contained. It is truly a phenomenon with a life all it’s own and in this life, love can only survive with absolute freedom to come and go as it wishes. But one fact about love is that it is magnetic to itself. Love loves love! So “be” the love wherever you go.Live a life of love and you will find the love of your life!

How do I stop being sad?

SIMPLE APPROACH: Take yourself to a place where you can just sit with nature. Ideally a place in the wilderness, such as a desert, forest, remote seashore, mountains, etc. Allow yourself to just sit and be one with your surroundings. Breath long and deep. If you're near water, get in it and let it wash over you. If you're near sand, get as naked as you possible can and lie in the sand allowing as much contact as possible for as long as necessary. Find some mud, get naked and submerge yourself to your neck. Our bodies need to be in contact with Mother Earth. You will recharge your inner batteries with this kind connection.APPLIED APPROACH: Learn something new. Take a class in something you've dreamed about. Learn a new dance, or create something out of wood. Learn how to play a musical instrument. Drums are good because the repetition of a rhythm is inside all things living. Tuning into your heart rhythm is meditative and therapeutic. Prepare a meal from scratch using all natural, raw ingredients. Take your time in preparing it (no rushing) and eat slow, chewing and tasting each bite slowly.COMMITTED APPROACH: Plan an adventure and go! Visit and try to connect with a culture different from your own. Try a new food or experience from that culture. Traveling solo can be very liberating. Take (reasonable) risks in unfamiliar places. Keep an open mind and allow yourself to simply ‘be’ in a new, perhaps uncomfortable environment. Do it alone for you and no one else. Write about it expressing how it made you feel. Volunteer for a worthy cause, such as preparing food for the homeless, cleaning neglected public spaces, or donating clothes or household items you no longer need or use to others in need.FINAL APPROACH: Call your Mom.
