There are so many eminently valid reasons to leave behind this tawdry, insipid, insulting, and juvenile site. You’ve received wise and wonderful responses from kindred spirits who, like yourself, infinitely outshine and outclass this petty cyber-hovel and the many misanthropic denizens thriving here.

Unfortunately, thoughtful people who've attempted to contribute value to this site have long been undermined and sabotaged by the atrociously immature, inept, and unjust “administrators” of Yahell. The Yazis have systematically destroyed any potential this site once held as a meaningful meeting place for mature minds. They have instead devised a den of iniquities, flaunting all the basest and most degrading flaws found in our “culture”. Brilliance, eloquence, nobility, integrity, courage, and kindness…qualities you possess in vast quantities…are simply squandered (and even vilified) here.

It’s honestly difficult for me to know who I’ll appreciate losing the most: the miscreant-engendering Yazi’s themselves, their cowering cronies and sycophantic wannabes, or the lewd, vile (ab)users who cloak maliciousness within avatar anonymity. I will value the tranquil days freed from insults and injustices, the time and talent better spent. For me, Mac, what’s great about leaving Yahoo Answers is leaving Yahoo Answers...but what’s BEST is the company I’m keeping. :)

Why are a lot of people resigning from TCS? What are the problems in TCS?

Attrition rate is very high in IT companies .nowadays people want to leave TCS because of following reasons:-Salary hike has been almost reduced to half.previously employee could get a hike of RS 100000 in a year whereas now it is reduced to nearly RS.50000 for a ASE TraineeWork culture: TCS will ensure you to provide cleanest work environment but one cannot survive from office politics in which hard workers end up with C band and bootlickers end up with AHR is not people's representative.completely management driven company where HRs are only puppet.if something goes wrong ,chances are few that someone could be on your sideMost of the intelligent folks are pushed into support projects thus diminishing their line of carreer.TCS is service based company who knows how to take work from hard working person in minimum wages.You are not an individual in TCS, you are just a resource that can be exploited.Most of the people don't work here.time table is like this 11–12 breakfast,12–1 office roaming ,1–3 lunch, 3–4 ODC roaming 4–5 tea time and after 5 pack your bags and go..some people even find time for gym in this busy schedule.this is the time table of 80 percent workforce.Less chances of getting onsite.Note: to all the people who claimed themselves obliged to TCS, let me tell you one thing..you are as eager as us to leave this company but hillarious truth is you are not capable of finding an opportunity…so it's better accept your fate ..see the video2. It is the workforce who make an organisation.TCS and TATA sons are well known for their values and principles yet the management here sucks. it is the people here who make survival difficult.

Why are unions important for the future well-being of working people?

Unions are responsible for almost every advance made by working people. Rises in the standard of living, they don't just happen by themselves. The 8-hour day, the 40 hour week, unemployment insurance, disability insurance, all that stuff came from the union movement. Even non-union workers got most of these benefits because the employers didn't want a union.

The rise of the union movement coincided with the biggest rise ever in workers' wages and working conditions, in the standard of living and the quality of life of working people. And since unions have been in decline, the 95% of us who have to work for a living have not done so well. The richest of us have doubled and tripled their wealth every decade, but the rest of us have struggled to just keep up with inflation.

When will more people realize that minimum wage jobs are also minimum skill jobs? You want more pay, increase your skill set. LEARN A?

Compensation for employees is not based on what a particular employee "needs". It is based on factors such as: How difficult is the task to be performed; how many people can perform the task; how much demand is there for these people. Jobs that require simple tasks (flipping burgers, cutting grass, mopping floors) that almost anyone can perform pay less than operating a lathe, driving a truck or most construction jobs because of the number of people capable of doing them.
