How Can I Stop My C Drive From Losing Space On Its Own

How do I give space when I am finding it so hard to do so?

Listen, friend, this is a very serious thing. You've invested a lot in this relationship emotionally and that's why you feel you miss her so much.

But if you do not give her more space, you are going to lose her. Dont allow this to happen. Give her the space she needs.

It's not going to be easy for you but, you can do it. You have the strength of character to do this.

If you feel it's too much, then please go find someone to talk to about it. Like a shrink. That may sound like a lame-oh thing to say but, it can seriously help you with the emotion you feel when you're not with her.

But what to do when she's not with you? You leave her alone (which is going to be tough) and you start investing your time in you.

Find a hobby or interest to invest this time in. Doing so will help pass the time and will help you grow as a person. Whatever happens in life, you should always look for ways to grow as a person. Look into photography, graphic design, reading, a sport, video games, card games, painting, drawing, cooking, candle making (which is cheap and a whole lot of fun!), hiking, biking.

The more time you invest in you, the more variety you bring to your relationship. The more space you give her, the more she grows as a person and the more she can bring to the relationship.

You can do this! Give her the space you both need.

How can I merge partitions to get more space on my C drive?

You need to remove the partitions following your "C:" partition. Then you can "grow" that partition into the contiguous space at its end. So this would mean you need to temporarily copy off the data on the other partitions before you clear them. I'm not aware of any easy way to merge two NTFS partitions into one - perhaps some form of folder mounting (see point 3 below), but I don't think it would help that much.If you mean the drive itself is already used fully (i.e. no empty partition possible), then you can add another disc. Then you have some options:Move some stuff off onto the D: drive (which would be the most probable letter windows assigns to the new disc / partition), or Create a spanned disc - though this would mean you need to make an image of your C drive to copy back onto the new spanned disc (as the old disc would be cleared). I don't recommend this course as it's a form of RAID 0 by using NTFS to be a software RAID (had lots of corruptions before if anything goes wrong with any one of the discs - then you lose everything).Mount the new disc as a folder in your C drive instead of letting Windows assign it a drive letter. This is much more flexible and doesn't cause as much hassles as the spanning idea. E.g. mount the new disc to some folder under My Documents - thus anything in that folder is actually on the 2nd disc.If you cannot add a 2nd disc (e.g. no space in the laptop for a 2nd drive), then your only alternative is to replace the disc with a larger disc. You'd need to image the existing windows installation so you can copy it into the new disc. The last thing you want to do would be to install a new windows and all the programs you need as well as copy all your data over - much quicker to simply clone the entire installation. However, you may have to look at what you can remove from your existing disc instead. Perhaps you can move some stuff off onto external storage. Or even archive it onto BluRay / DVD. I tend to keep only the data I need access to "right now" on my discs - archiving and deleting about once a month all the stuff which wasn't accessed in the last 30 days. The timing you'd need to figure for yourself (both how often you do it and what the time limits need to be) as it may differ for each use case.

Can a laptop have more then one hard drive?

A few new model laptops have two drives but the majority only have one. If your laptop came with only one drive you cannot add another internal drive. Suggest an external USB drive.

Upgrading PS4 hard drive?

You'll need to back all saved data before upgrading your PS4 HDD.

NOTE: Install the system software
After the HDD has been replaced, the system software must be reinstalled. Using a computer, save a system software update file for reinstallation to a USB storage device. (1GB free space)

Back up saved data for games

You can copy saved data that is stored on your PS4 system to a USB storage device. You can also copy saved games to the cloud if you are a PlayStation Plus subscriber.

1. Connect a USB storage device to the system.

2. Select (Settings) from the function screen.

3. Select [Application Saved Data Management] > [Saved Data in System Storage] > [Copy to USB Storage Device].

4. Select a title.

5. Press X to add a check mark in the check box for the saved data you want to copy, and then select [Copy].

HELP! Is giving someone space a good idea??

I once had a boyfriend who got drunk, did a really stupid thing, and then added to the humiliation he caused me by calling my mother (who knew nothing of the incident until then) to apologize for treating her daughter that way. I truly loved him, but felt this was just too much to let go so I broke up with him. He dogged me for two months as if we were still dating. It made me absolutely furious and I was ready to completely cut him out of my life for good. I told him - with pepper gas in hand - to stop coming by and to give me some space. He finally got the message. He did give me space, though still treated me kindly and with respect when we did run into each other. He stop pushing and I finally gave him another chance. We have been married for 10yrs.

My point is that (prior to marriage) if he wants a break, back off. It is the only way that he will get over the memories of the rough times and see the potential for good times again. If he never comes around to that, then all the things that were unsaid are best left that way.

Do failed downloads occupy disk space?

While using a download manager sort of thing, it temporarily stores the partly downloaded files in something of its own format like download01.part etc. These files are often hidden and are only joined together once the download completes. If the download stops in the middle, these incomplete files often remain in the hard disk consuming space until the users finds it out and delete them manually. Many modern browsers also follow the same procedure. They attribute an extension of its own to the files while downloading and convert them to the original format only after completion of download.Any unfinished downloads are likely to be in the download folder occupying HDD space.

Definition of escape velocity contradicts black hole physics?

There are two ways to look at "escape velocity":

1. It's the minimum initial speed an object must be given so that as it travels away from the body, it has sufficient momentum to never return. Theoretically, the traveling object will keep slowing down asymptotically until it reaches the speed of 0, which will be at an infinite distance away from the gravitational body.

2. The same thing, but in reverse. For example, if the only thing in the cosmos are the moon and a pair of pliers, and you let go of the pliers 1 light year away from the moon (starting speed=0), then the pliers will slowly accelerate towards the moon and EVENTUALLY. the pliers will hit the moon at slightly less than the moon's escape velocity (and I say "slightly less" because the pliers didn't start an infinite distance away).

THEREFORE:

If the only two things in the cosmos are a super massive black hole and a pair of pliers, and the black hole's escape velocity is 100c, and we let go of the pliers from 1 light year's distance, then just as with the moon, the pliers will start accelerating towards the massive body and eventually they will hit the black hole at slightly less than its escape velocity.

The contradiction should be evident by now, but here's my question:

To avoid this contradiction, the following must happen: At some point, perhaps a million miles away from the event horizon, the pliers will reach .999999c or something. Will they just stop accelerating after that? Wouldn't NOT accelerating in the presence of such an intense gravitational field violate some law of physics?
