How Can I Support My Friend To Come To England For Work

How can I support my friend to come to England for work?

I am British. How can I support a friend of mine to come here (London) and have a work visa or UK residence?

Basically, my friend is living in middle east. He has many job offers here. The problem is that it is hard for him to get work visa/work permit. So I would like to support him to come here, either to get a work visa, UK residence, or citizenship, so he can live and work here. What is the procedure?

Do they have food stamps in England?

No, you cannot compare the morely social system in Europe (often named as socialist countries by U.S. Republicans) to the capitalistic democracy as applied in the United States.

A working person in England (and in most of Europe) is required by law to pay contributions to mandatory governmental insurance systems. They do not have a choice whether to partitipate or not but they all are entitled to governmental assistance once they are getting sick (heath insurance or free health care), or unemployed (unemployment insurance), or old (old age pension insurance).

A person being unemployed in England would be entitled to a jobseeker-allowance which will be transferred to the bank account on weekly basis. S/he would not need to get any food stamps or nowadays special ATM cards which would show that s/he is poor and does not have work. The "Socialist Countries" in Europe prefer to respect the dignity of human beings instead of pointing that "they have not made it" like the U.S. government obviously does.

How to convince your parents to let you move to England with out them?

Hey, so me and a friend want to move to England. we are 15. and he has family there, and i have friends there. I hate my life here in Canada. and I'm not trying to run away. I want to go to a school in England, and have a job or two. and I think it would be much better there, than it is here. my friends have told me about the good and bad there, and I want to go. the average life is supposed to be a little something along the lines of -your a kid, you go to school. then high school, maybe take a break to work. then university, then you get a good job, and get a wife/husband- but i don't like that. I've always been different, and this is what i think would be better -your a kid, you go to school, start high school, move to England, finish high school while having a job and then your done. you keep the job, maybe get 2 or 3. and life if perfect- but i need to convince my parents to let me go live with my friend and his family. How can i do this?

and i know your going to be like "dont move to england, thats stupid. you cant run from your problems". well im not trying to run from them. i just want to continue my life in england where i think it would be much better.

My friend is throwing her life away!?

No, I do not think that she is "throwing her life away" because she has different plans and goals than you do. I'm from the US so I don't really understand your education system but this is what I think.

She might not have the money to pay for tuition, school is expensive and if she can't get a scholarship and doesn't have support from her family it might seem impossible to her at this time, you do not know her entire situation so don't pretend that you do.
She is only 16, she might not know what she wants to study. I know I didn't at that age; I'm 22, have a bachelor degree and job and am *still* not sure what I want to do with my life. Things change, this might be working for her, for now. The year off can help her figure out what she wants to do. Money isn't everything, but after working full time for a year she will see how difficult it is to support yourself with the salary of a cashier and she might change her mind.
If she isn't intelligent, maybe she knows her limitations. Maybe she doesn't want to waste the time and money on college. It isn't for everyone, that's okay.

As a side note I think you really need to work on your attitude; there is no reason for you to be so judgmental and rude to your "friend." If you keep this up, you might have trouble making new friends at your new school.

Do you need a visa to come to england from tunisia?

If he wants to come to the UK as a tourist or to visit friends he should apply as a general visitor. To visit the UK in this capacity he must be able to show that:
• he intends to visit the UK for no more than six months;
• he intends to leave the UK at the end of his visit, and
• he has enough money to support himself and live in the UK without working or needing any help from public funds.
The application needs to be filled online, he will also be able to get an appointment for providing the application, pay the fee (£70), and have his fingerprints taken at the U.K. Border Agency loated at the Embassy in Tunis.

I'm 14 years old & Moving to England, without my parents.?

If my daughter did this I would be devestated... extremely worried about her... and I would miss her something terrible.

If you have any respect for your parents don't do it. You will have plenty of time to make your own decisions when you are of legal age to do so.

Also... you do know that you will need a passport right? How do you plan on going about that without your parents' permission? Without their signature? You will be classified as a runaway and will be charged with a crime if they ever caught you. On top of that - you would be charged with forgery.

I don't think you are stupid tho... I think you are looking for thrills and independance and fun and selfishly leaving out the feelings of the people who love you. Would you even let them know once you are gone? Otherwise they will be out looking for a body thinking someone may have killed you.

Think it thru. I think you should wait.
