How do we thank God for everything we get?
This is a very interesting question. Most people think that offering God food or doing pradakshin’s, or offering food to people for getting punya, or offering money in hundis, donating money , giving bali(sacrifice’s0 etc., are some of the way’s to thank God and make him happy.But God is not blind I believe. From my childhood I have been thought that God is always watching us. And also my culture teaches me God is in everyone. So doing good deed one day, or giving God what he gave us is no way of thanking him.If you really what to thank him, change yourself. Become a good human being. Stand for peace and happiness. Get your happiness by making other’s happy. Treat other living creatures equal to you because even they have been made by God and they are also God’s children. Feed the poor, respect elder’s, bless children. Give animal’s their own respect. Don’t cut plants or trees. Don’t make other’s suffer because of your deed’s. Live a modest life. In this way you are respecting his creation and this s a huge thank you to him :)
Why should we thank God?
I think it is very dangerous to thank God.Imagine your kids hear you. They might be very confused as who is responsible for and who is involved in a solution.Worse is what it does in your own mind. Life requires decisions and action. Thanking any deity allows us to become lazy and discontent if such higher power appears to be doing nothing. A confused mind as to how things works is no way to solve any issue.Studies from patients in hospitals show that if a patient knows he is prayed for than this extends the healing period.The most important reason never to thank God is that it induces a huge feeling of egotism. In short you tell others: "look you fools. The reason your life sucks is that your daddy is not as powerful as my skydaddy. And he has nothing else to do than obey my every wish." Obvious there is no evidence for that hence you be sure to be resented bitterly by everyone around you.

i was just curious why a guy would thank me for the kiss on his cheek (he said "thank you") after i pulled away from a tiny gentle peck i gave him on his cheek while greeting him he said "oh" in a soft tone...maybe slightly surprised...when i kissed him & after i was done he said "thank you"...he's only my friend now...idk if he likes me?

Okay so this summer I went on a mission trip to the Czech Republic (super atheist country) to run a camp for Czech teens. The teens there knew intermediate English for the most part, but no slang. Anyways, I've been messaging this one Czech guy, and in a message he wrote to me he said "thank god that it's over" I don't know where he would pick up that slang term, we definitely didn't teach that phrase haha. Do you think he's just saying that because he thinks it's cool, or because he's starting to believe in God? He did show an interest for religion at the camp

If he did say thanks to you more than once for giving him those magazines while he was sick, he probably thinks that's enough with you. Honestly, I would be fine with that since he acknowledged your help to him. I won't sweat it since he knows I showed him I cared. Are you expecting him to do those things because he's your crush and a simple thank you wouldn't have sufficed? If so, then honey, wait it out. If he likes you, he'll come around to it. Either he's just shy, or a jerk for not noticing what a sweetheart you are.
