How Can I Turn Things Around At Work

I have a C average right now.If I turn things around and get A average can I still get into good college?

If you're in grade 12 you're currently ******. The first thing that universities and colleges look at is your English grades. If they're at or above standards then they'll look at the rest of your transcript. They also look at previous grades to determine what type of student you are. I suggest staying in high school for another year and perfecting each of your courses in order to please good colleges. If you don't want to do that then i suggest you go to a trade school like Trios or Everest. As for the army, it's an option. Not all army recruits fight. You could cook or work in one of their offices. Plus you'll make lasting friends and the army will pay for your education and give you a pension which is handy. Lot of perks in the army. Did i mention you get to refine your killing skills. But yeah, good post secondary institutions don't accept slackers because they need to protect their image. You could try online courses from earnmydegree.com, or degrees.waldenu.edu. I strongly reccomend staying in high school for another year and perfecting your courses. It will teach you some humility, work ethic and your university or college courses will seem easier.

How do I work out to turn things in my favor?

Build rapport with things and turn those things to your favor. You would see the magic beginning. "You be the change that you want to see in the world" - Gandhi. Put your question more precisely to get elaborated answer.

How do I turn things around on a startup if I am the only one working full-time and can’t get my co-founders to engage? I'm running out of savings.

Get your partners to engage or get rid of them. Hopefully you have mechanisms in place (buy-sell, shareholders agreement, etc.) that allow you to do this. If you don’t, then I would sit down with your partners and negotiate them out. If you can’t, then brush off your shoulders and walk away (unless you want to work hard to make your partners rich).Absent a buy-sell agreement, you cannot force partners out of a business. Absent an agreement, you cannot force an owner to part with equity. Selling a business (this is my expertise) is impossible without willing partners. It is also nearly impossible to sell a less than 100% interest in a small business. What is the point of building a business if you cannot sell it and this realize your gains? There isn’t one, so you have three choices:Get your partners to engage.Get rid of your partners.Walk away.Second, scale back your company and simplify it. Focus 100% of your energy on the easiest, quickest way to generate revenue. Become a one-trick pony.Third, to build employee engagement, read ‘Carrots & Sticks Don’t Work - How to Build a Culture of Employee Engagement’.Good luck. Entrepreneurship is filled with it’s ups and downs. Frankly, this sounds like a situation you should walk away from. 6 months is not a long time.

How to turn your life around?

I wish I could simply go to my recipe box and pull out the card that gives the tried and true recipe for "Turn your life around pie" but I can't.
I can tell you that at some point the "Turn" will begin with YOU making a decision that you are simply sick and tired of being this way. It may mean a phone call to a friend, a casual walk through the door of a doctor or maybe a 12 step meeting for emotions and feeling? Who knows, maybe you'll never make that FIRST step forward but if anything is going to change it begin with you. Trust me, been there, got up and took my life forward several times only to fall back to my old patterns. That was 20 some years ago and although I look back to remember, my life is involved in today. It won't be easy, never is and all of your potential will be at your disposal to develop or build upon, but it all starts with you. Good luck my friend...

Is it too late for me to turn my grades around?

Take it day by day. Do whatever is due the next day first. Set aside some time each day to do other catch-up work.

It won't be instant, so don't get discouraged. It might get a bit worse before it improves, but you can absolutely turn things around.

If you are overwhelmed by all the AP courses, consider switching to the non-AP versions of those courses, or at least some of them.

Is it possible to turn your life around at 50?

I'm 50, out of work, out of money, and I know I got to this point because of a lot of bad decisions I made in my life. I'd like to go in a whole new direction, but frankly, I'm feeling old and washed-out, like I've missed the boat. Has anyone else ever been here and turned things around?

I have big dreams but it’s not working for now - What can I do to turn things around?

Growing up, we are repeatedly told to dream big, to never stop dreaming and to believe in our dreams. However, we are not told enough that dreams are accomplished by taking action.Dreams are merely thoughts; the doing is more powerful than the dreaming. The doing is what changes the world and impacts people in unforeseen ways.Dream of being a physical therapist; apply to physical therapy school and go from there. Dream of being a politician; get involved in local campaigns and work your way up.We have more control over the “doing” than we give ourselves credit. If you spend all of your time dreaming, you will never grant yourself the opportunity to see what you are truly capable of accomplishing.

Meaning of "things turn out best for the people who make the best out of the way things turn out"?

It means, whatever the outcome of an event, what really matters is how you deal with it after it's happened.

Perhaps an example would explain it better.

Two people are fired from their jobs on the same day.

The first person decides that since he was fired he must be worthless, and just sits around depressed. He doesn't get a new job and things turn out pretty bad.

Whereas the second person sees getting fired as a positive thing, he can now look for a new path in life and maybe have some great new experiences. He gets a new job and meets some great people at work.

The second person made the best of the way things turned out, and in turn things turned out best for him. Whereas the first person made the worst out of the situation, and the worst thing happened to him.

Another way to put it would be: "Be positive and positive things will happen."

Hope this at least helps a bit.
