How Can I Use Yahoo Ask Once I

How can we engage more people in the democratic process?

As a parent of 2 teenage daughters, I hear the frustration they share with "rigged class elections, popularity vs. content, etc." within their own peer elections. I worry that our youth is missing the truth and honor of "personal integrity" and need to learn democratic integrity first from their parents and then from public role models such as teachers, community leaders and elected officials.

The democratic process should begin in the home with active parenting; not passive or dictactorship styles. Active parenting provides a forum to share and to hear ideas, solutions, praise, criticism, etc. as well as an understanding that one's ideas should always be heard, considered and respected, but not necessarily always taken. This foundation then naturally expands into school where teachers may mirror this type of democratic atmoshere. Additionally, I feel more demonstrative practice is needed within the school system in order for our youth to understand the democratic process on a personalized local level. Washington is far away; OUR community is right in front of us.

One solution may be to link community leaders with schools and to openly invite ideas, internship-for-a-day programs or other activities that marry "the process" with a reality that children understand. If the democratic process is understood and actively demonstrated locally then a national understanding is more easily comprehended.

Of course all ages need to be engaged with this process. If we educate and engage at a younger age, it is a natural concequence that the democratic process will continue well into young adulthood and beyond. The age of 18 gives our youth the right to vote and to be a legal adult; if their upbringing engaged the democratic process, then our Leaders-of-Tomorrow will continue and expand the democratic process.

How do you delete questions on Yahoo Answers?

Original question:How do you delete questions on Yahoo Answers?I want to delete some of my questions on Yahoo Answers because the answers aren't that helpful to me. Everyone keeps telling me to click on the blue pencil icon to delete my questions but they already have a best answer and I want to get rid of the ones that I have. Is there any ways that I can delete my own questions that I have on the site? Thanks. You cannot delete questions once you have an answer (or a best answer), just like on Quora. However, if no one has replied to your question yet, you can still delete it. The steps are as follows:Step 1: Go to your question. If you are at the home page, click on your name on the left (not the profile picture in the top right-hand corner) and click on ‘My Questions’.Step 2: Click the ‘Edit’ button and press ‘Delete question’. It is found over here:Hope this helps! :)

Who wins, Yahoo! Answers or Quora?

Stackexchange wins hands down. Both quora and yahoo answers are filled with spams and rarely answer meaningful questions. There is a dedicated stackexchange community for almost every topic with great answers. For example you may have someone on Quora who is physics grad writing simple answers on physics topic, but at physics stack exchange those questions would long have been answered before. Plus there are very few to check authenticity of answers on Quora or Yahoo answers.

Are you glad you left Yahoo Answers and came to Quora?

Very Glad.I've used Yahoo Answers for years, but I stopped 3 years ago.I started using Quora only 2 days ago, as I found it a great replacement for YA!For me, YA! got really boring, here's why I left it a few years ago:YA! is not as popular as it was before : which obviously means, less answers. The community has a lot of trolls : Once you ask a question, a lot of trolls will respond to it, which is obviously something that nobody wants. The answers are not thoughtful enough : Regardless of how serious the question you're asking is, you'll be lucky to receive a thoughtful answer. Now I know that some questions are trivial, but if you're looking for a thoughtful answer to an important question, then YA! is not your best bet.FOR ME, it wasn't as fun as it was before : Maybe it was because I liked the older design better, maybe it was because of the three reasons above, I'm not sure why, it just got boring to me.Quora is a great replacement, it has everything that I liked about YA! It also doesn't have what I hate about YA!.I'm not “hating” on YA! I'm just stating some facts + my opinion.

Why am I unable to post or answer any questions on Yahoo Answers?

Clearly, you have upset a Yahoo! god and they are firing you from Yahoo! Answers.I used to work for Yahoo! Answers a decade ago and I used to spend a lot of time asnwering a lot of questions and the company was extremely happy with my work.In fact, they send me a Yahoo! Answers jacket to my home.I still have it.A few years later I was one of the most popular writers on Yahoo! Answers and the founder and CEO of Yahoo! at the time David Filo himself send me a letter with his signature and everything congratulating me for my hard work.I still have this letter.A decade ago, a letter signed by a billionaire was a huge deal for me.Now, I get job offers from billionaires, almost each month and I almost always decline them.I still want to work for Elon Musk, Adam D’Angelo, Max Levchin, Peter Thiel, Luke Nosek and Ken Howery, thought. One day, all of a sudden my Yahoo! Answers account was blocked for unknown reasons.I tried to open a new account and this worked for a little while but eventually my account was blocked again.I tried to open a new account and this worked again for a little while but eventually my account was blocked again. After that, I simply stopped trying and evolved into something else.I was extremely dissapointed by all this and I could not fully understand why they were blocking my accounts.Obviously I was younger and dumber a decade ago.It turns out a billionaire got upset about some of my answers and he simply bribed Yahoo! and they fired me.I was bringing a lot of eyesballs to Yahoo! Answers a decade ago.I was answering questions for them for free, you know.Maybe Yahoo! would still be profitable today if they hired me as a regular employee back then.We will never know.It appears that you are in exactly the same situation I was a decade ago.Just forget about Yahoo! Answers and focus exclusively on Quora. They are losing money for a reason, you know.I suspect they regret firing me from Yahoo! Answers a decade ago.Ironically, I am currently one of the MOST VIEWED WRITERS on the Yahoo! (Company) category right now here on Quora.Welcome to Quora.I think you will enjoy this chapter in your life.
