Hindi word for Baking Soda is Meetha Soda.Baking soda is also called Soda bicarbonate(also known as cooking soda) and it is the pure form of soda unlike Baking Powder (Khara soda in hindi)which is mix of baking soda and cream of tartar, and perhaps some cornstarch to help keep the two separate and dry.Baking soda needs acid and moisture to get active.When it comes in contact with acid and moisture it produces carbon dioxide gas in the form of bubbles.Baking soda is used in recepies where we use curd,vinegar or lemon juice in indian recipes like Bhature,Kulche etc.One should be careful while adding soda in a recipe.If the quantity of soda is more than the quantity of acid than the additional soda will give the recipe a soapy taste.

Yes both are the same. It is pure sodium bicarbonate powder. When it reacts with any acid in moist conditions, carbon dioxide is released which allows the dough to rise. In preparing bhature, curd is also used which contains lactic acid. This lactic acid reacts with the sodium bicarbonate (meetha soda) to release carbon dioxide.Note: The above is not to be confused with Baking powder. Baking powder contains a mixture of sodium bicarbonate with an acid like citric acid. Hence it is not necessary to add an acidic ingredient of you are using baking powder. Note : Multiple answers in this thread are using drug screenings and drug tests interchangably when they are not the same.A screening is NON-NEGATIVE and must be sent to a lab for confirmation.Since the question is taking about POSITIVE results, this is automatically a drug TEST which is sent to a lab with quantitative instead of qualitative results.Furthermore, a screening would not be able to differentiate between methamphetamines, mdma and amphetamines, as a screening would lump all 3 under amphetamines.The only substance that can test positive for methamphetamine in a urine test is methamphetamine.Methamphetamine isn’t like amphetamines where there are multiple drugs which fall under that category.It has its own separate category for a reason. While methamphetamine ‘can’ be prescribed in the USA, because of the negative connotations no doctor in their right mind would prescribe it currently.MDMA is also a very specific drug to show up on a drug test. While there are several drugs which are very similar to mdma, they are all illegal. There are no legal reasons to have mdma in urine currently or any of its super close analogues. Unless you happen to be in a very tightly regulated and federally funded research program of course, but then this wouldn’t be a problem.The combination of the two means most likely the user had taken molly, mdma or ecstasy (all the same I know) which had most likely been contaminated with or had methamphetamine (not uncommon from what I’ve read and heard) as a filler in it. That would easily explain the combination of methamphetamine and mdma in the urine.OR it could be this totally believable story someone once told our staff on why they came up positive for methamphetamines on a drug test.They told us the staff member assigned to take their urine took their urine, took some meth out of their pockets, dropped it into the guys urine, and shook/stirred the urine with their bare fingers. there are drugs such as methamphetamine and methadone which are bad for you, but then also there is one of the essential amino acids called methionine. i believe "meth" is CH3, but why is it that methamphetamine is bad for you when methionine is important for the body? does it have anything to do with "meth-" or does it have to do with a different part of the compound? thanks

How do you get sea salt out of crystal meth?
You would rinse it with acetone. Methamphetamine is water soluble but doesn't dissolve in acetone. The most labour intensive I've heard of is buying Epsom salt. Baking on low heat for a few hours to thoroughly dry out and moisture. Then you take the acetone and run it through the salt in a strainer. The super dry salt will take any water out of the acetone leaving it as pure as can be in a non laboratory scenario. No water content means your product will not dissolve at all. Take the super dry acetone now and pour it over the product and anything not methamphetamine will wash out, leaving it as pure as possible.However, methamphetamine is a salt. Whether or not table salt reacts the same way as methamphetamine when introduced to acetone is not something I am familiar with. I imagine you'd find out in the first filtering process mentioned above
