How Can My Emerson Bedside Clock Know When To Turn Clocks Back/forward

Any trouble with your smart set clocks? they set themselves but mine went to daylight sav. time a week early.?

I bought an emerson research clock, it sets itself, you can unpug it and it goes right back to the right time, if the power goes out, it saves all the data and goes right back to the right time and saves alarm settings. well the past two years it has set itself to daylight savings time a week early(which makes me an hour late by the time the alarm sounds). Is any one having any trouble, 'cause i think Emerson needs to do a little more research on this one.

How do I fix the date on my analog watch? It always shows the last day of the month wrong, e.g. April has 30 days, but my watch has to also show the 31st. Is there any way the watch can automatically adjust itself according to the month?

The majority of watches, with a date function, have the date appear in a window usually at the 3, 4, or 6 o’clock position. Some watches have the calendar displayed on smaller dials for the date and day of week. The most common date advance is on a simple date wheel.Only a handful of high end watches, with a mechanical date complication, can compensate for the irregularity of days in the month. Those watches are called perpetual calendar and are difficult to build.Essentially, perpetual calendar watches track and display, automatically, the day, month, and date. They are self-adjusting to compensate for short months and leap years. With the exception of a few that will run for centuries, today’s perpetual calendar watches typically are built to track time until the year 2100 before needing an adjustment. Some inexpensive Perpetual Calendar quartz watches can compensate for the shorter months - September, November, February, April, and June. Timex makes several Perpetual Calendar timepieces, but when they go wrong they require a factory reset. What is kind of cool is that for a few dollars you have a watch that can make the adjustment for Leap Year. All other watches with a date feature must be advanced to the correct day 5 times a year. Many have the feature where crown on the winding stem can be pulled to a first position to advance the date.
