How Can One Overcome Regret If One Feels That One Did Something Which One Strongly Feels Regrets

How can one overcome regret if one feels that one did something which one strongly feels regrets from the bottom?

The quote is telling us a way that we can avoid being consumed by regret. That way is to think about what we did (the thing we regret) and figure out what lesson is contained in that experience. When we can learn something positive from a bad experience, it becomes a good thing in that it helps us to grow toward a better way of living and more happiness. Being consumed by regrets is not precisely "normal," but it is not unnatural--it is a common human reaction; however, it is unproductive and painful. So first, we can genuinely feel sorry if we did something, for example, to hurt someone else or ourselves. Second, we can determine not to repeat the mistake. We can also think of ways to make up for any wrong that we did--not necessarily with the same people, but with others. For instance, suppose you failed to help someone when you should have. Now it is too late to do anything about that situation. But since you regret it, you can learn that helping others has value, and you can do it in the future. The lesson might be that sometimes it is important to put others before ourselves. Another example might be that you blew a relationship because you were afraid to show your true feelings. So there the lesson is that sometimes showing our real feelings to someone we care about is a good thing to do. The quote is definitely implying that we should not allow ourselves to be consumed ("eaten up") by regrets. But instead of just forgetting about the incident that produced regret (if you can), you should draw a positive lesson from your mistake, and this will help prevent the pain of lingering regret.

How do I overcome a huge regret?

The happiest thing is that you understood that you have done something wrong. The worst ignorance is not understanding or accepting one’s own fault. Be happy that you have already paid for your wrong doing. As the above line says, don’t worry about the thing for long time. But at the same time don’t forget about it. It is because only if you have the memory of your mistakes, you will not do it again.Just thing that hereafter I will not make that again in lifetime. Be bold and face the life.

Will a Scorpio ever regret anything he has done?

Will a Scorpio ever regret saying anything mean to a person that has known them for more than 5 years?

(It's not like your face is ugly mean, it's like the type-of-mean to hurt someone emotionally and have a burden over your heart type of mean.)

And out of those five years, one year has been a relationship.

Why is that so? Do Scorpios ever regret anything to let the person go without fighting for their love?

Thanks for your answers. It'll be much appreciated. :/
No stupid ones please. This is for real.

How do you stop living with regrets?

It’s not about getting rid of your regrets, it’s about the regrets at the first place. One of my friends told me this funda (a logic, knowledge, principle etc. whatever fits the situation)Let’s assume you want to buy a laptop, and you have two options. One is to buy from a local dealer, where price is less but there is no warranty associated with it. Other is to buy it from the manufacturer but is costly, when compared to the first one.Scenario 1: You don’t want to take any risk and decide to buy it from manufacturer for more money. Your friend took that risk and bought the laptop from local dealer. Fast forward 1 year, both the laptops are working fine. Now you regret thinking should’ve bought the laptop from local dealer looking at the extra money you paid.Scenario 2: You took the risk and bought the laptop from local dealer. Fast forward 1 year, you had to spend more money than that you had saved. Now you again regret for not buying from the manufacturer. No matter what decision you take, you end up regretting since you were comparing the choices you made in the past which is not under your control.Always do something about things under your control and don’t worry about things that are not under your control. You can do anything to change the things that are under your control but no matter what you do, you cannot change things that are not under your control. Now what could you do to lead a regret free life? Well, I don’t know either, but with the best of my knowledge if I were you, I would do the following:Find a purpose which means a lot to me.Will make the best choices of my knowledge for the day.I’m happy if I succeed or it’s okay if I fail because that is not in my control. When I fail, I will learn from the failure and understand what went wrong and give it a shot again. In the end, I’ve realized that happiness is in the process of accomplishing a worthwhile dream.
