How Can The Leafs Sign Paul Ranger

What are your feelings on the NBCSN announcer bias in the Stanley Cup playoffs? Why can't the regular season announcers be available as another audio stream?

I watched local broadcasts of many games this year, following one smaller market team as it moved around the league. I got to hear many “home team” announcers. In general, they are horribly biased.[Side note: Moment of disgrace for St Louis Blues announcer, who said: “That’s eight and a half minutes without a whistle. Hopefully the action picks up soon.”]Now, it should be said that I will probably never forgive USA networks for introducing the glowing puck.So I don’t know if I can put aside my own bias. I know that I hear bias in Canadian broadcasting where others (fans of a different team) don’t.But, basically, I don’t like any announcers. Last night, I watched NHL and NBA playoffs with the sound down so low I really couldn’t follow the commentary.A few years ago, some part of the Québec on air staff was on strike, and Montréal Canadiens were broadcast with only crowd and game noise - no commentary. It was fantastic.More and more, I love the English Premier Division announcers. They don’t need to talk the whole time. They offer a wonderful turn-of-phrase.

Why did Thranduil tell Legolas to seek out Strider at the end of The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies? Is there a history between Legolas and Strider before the events of The Lord of the Rings trilogy?

As others have said, it's to provide a tie-in to the LotR movies. This is a place where book-verse and movie-verse differ. In the books, during the action of The Hobbit Aragorn is a child being fostered in the House of Elrond under the name "Estel." His identity as Heir of Isildur is a closely kept secret. So in book-verse, Thranduil's statement would be impossible, since "Strider" did not yet exist. (Legolas wasn't in The Hobbit book either, although it's not a stretch to assume he was at the Battle.) The timeline of the movie is different; at the time of The Hobbit, Aragorn is in his early 20s in the movie-verse and presumably would be a Ranger. Why Thranduil would know of him, or why he'd call Aragorn "Strider"--his nickname in Bree, a few hundred miles west of Thranduil's realm--is beyond me. Do Legolas and Aragorn have a history? In the LotR movies they clearly do, as indicated by their statements at the Council of Elrond. They know each other well enough for Legolas to be privy to Aragorn's status as Isildur's Heir and to be incensed on Aragorn's behalf. In the books, there is no indication that they are acquainted. They might have met briefly, since Aragorn delivered Gollum into the custody of the Wood-elves. We don't know if Legolas was there or had any direct involvement with Gollum's imprisonment, but it is certainly possible. However, in the books, during the Council of Elrond Legolas does not inform Boromir of Aragorn's lineage or tell him that he owes Aragorn his allegiance, and Aragorn doesn't tell him to sit down.  Aragorn and Legolas appear to be strangers.

How to lower a 91 ford ranger 2wd?

Do you want to make it sit level? You can make it sit level by removing a leaf from the spring pack in the rear - must do it on each side. Remove one from the middle. It will only cost your time.

There is no cheap way to properly an older I beam Ranger. Cut your spring will give a hard ride. I installed DJM dream beam on my Ranger in the Front, and used a relocation bracket to lowwer the rear. It wasn't cheap.

Stay alway from rear flip kits, unless you wanna go super low.

How can I increase the towing capacity of my 1997 Tahoe with a 5.7L?

Trailer brakes are a must when your towing anything with some weight to it. You can get load stabilizers that hook your trailer to your truck or you can get overload spring kit or airbags to even out the ride on your truck. Make sure you don't go over the "combined gross vehicle weight rating" for you truck. If you get pulled over for anything and the officer looks into that you'll get a good sized ticket and they will not let you leave towing your trailer.

The Heat/AC quit blowing in my '05 Ford Taurus...What could be the problem and how do I fix it?

About three weeks ago now, the Heat/AC quit blowing in my 05 Ford Taurus. So I took it to the local shop and they proceeded to tell me that it was a result of fluid in some compartment. (As you can tell already I know little to nothing about cars). So they told me that they drained it, and they thought there was a leak in the base of the windshield somewhere that may be allowing the water to seep in. It worked awesome after they "drained" it. I followed up by taking it to a glass shop..they said they looked everywhere and found no leak. So here I am three weeks later..got in my car today and it has quit again. I dont want to waste any more money without finding a solution! Can anyone help and perhaps tell me what may be causing this and if there is anything that I can do/buy myself to try to fix this?? It may be worth noting that when I turn the heat dials, everything clicks so I know its registering..its just no air is blowing out. Please help!! Thank you!

Who has impressed you so far this year but they fly under the radar?

I agree with you on Lucic, I have watched a few of Boston's games and he always seems to play well. Given that he is so young I don't think he will fly under the radar forever.

brown really flew under my radar, I had no idea he was doing so well, well on pace for a career year.

Other guys?? With all the Press that Carey Price gets in Montreal, the other rookie Kyle Chipchura has really snuck under the radar. He was worked is way from spare part in the first few games to 4th line to now where he seems to have found a role as the third line center. The point totals 3-5-8 don't reflect his true value. He kills penalties, plays smart positionally and is one of only 5 positive (+/-) guys on the team.

I'm way of the radar here but Mathieu Darche in Tampa has impressed, never drafted on and off waivers but the couple of times I have seen him play this year he has played well. Were not talking all-star here but not bad for a Canadian University player.

Edit: Darche played university hockey at Mcgill bounced around the minors for a few years playing 5 NHL game in Columbus/Nashville and San Jose. Started the year in Tampa was put on waivers then recalled. He now has 4 goals and 4 assists. His only claim to fame is that his brother who played football at Mcgill was the long snapper for the Seattle Seahawks and is now with The Kansas city chiefs. Interesting that both brothers played at a cdn university and made the top level of their sport.
