Facebook won't let me update my status?
OK! I know how to fix it. When you go to post a status, there is usually a few buttons on the bottom where you can tag someone or tag yourself somewhere. Next to those on the bottom LEFT hand corner, there should be something that says where you are near. That would be your location. If you turn this off, by clicking the X next to the location where you are. Once that is gone, you should be able to continue posting statuses and posting on others wall's. I hope this helps! :)

You have location pin on Facebook, if you let Chrome (or other browser) so send your location to Facebook. & you can even edit your location, when you input the post! ;)
Updating facebook relationship status in facebook?
We have been dating for about 4 weeks and we have facebook accounts. I never use mine, so it still says nothing about relationship status, she always uses hers and hers also does not have anything about relationship status. She has talked how we need some pics together on facebook. Should I update my page to say I am in a relationship even if I never use it? Could she be waiting for me to update and feels funny if she says she in a relationshp and I say nothing ? Or who cares what facebook says?

Laptops do not (normally) have GPS or the ability to be located using triangulation of radio signals (both of which are commonly possible on mobile/cell phones, especially modern smart phones). Consequently your location can only be "guestimated" from "backtracking" your IP address which is usually automatically assigned (and dynamically) by your ISP. Consequently your location can easily be wildly out. Mine has reportedly been several hundred miles away in different directions at different times when actually at home!) Geo-location DOES NOT WORK properly UNLESS YOU provide authorisation in some way to disclose your precise & actual location (via your GPS or phone carrier calculated triangulation). When you are "out & about" and use a local WiFi hotspot (phone or laptop) your location can potentially be more accurately identified simply because that location's IP address (more likely, but not DEFINITELY a fixed one) may have been logged/registered against someone else, WITH a GPS signal, on that IP address previously or because the WiFi operator has chosen to log its location deliberately. Remember also, you are exposing yourself to a far greater security risk when reporting your actual location via Facebook (or any other on-line system or service) - thieves, burglars and other folk of dubious character and intentions can establish all too easily that you are NOT at home and therefore use that information to time when they target your house!! Hope that helps - short answer to your question is ... YOU can't fix it easily (if at all) from a laptop.

so i cant update my status.I can write on other peoples status but not mine.The thing is other sites such as twitter and what not will so its not the internet.its been this while for about a week and its really annoying.I also can share things from youtube on facebook but i cantupdate my staus..PLEASE HELP!!!

The FACEBOOK do it and that also legally.When you make a facebook account in and click yes on i have read all terms and conditions then you just give the facebook the right of it. It tracks you when were you at where and it is very useful for it also.Suppose you are near starbucks cafe and using facebook then you will be shown ads of starbucks. By this facebook earns more because they are targeting the ads which are more revelent to you.And for that facebook always keep an eye on you wherever you going and your phone is in use or not. You can turn off you GPS if it is not needed aand prevent facebook from tracking you that much.
