How Can We Be Good In English

Why am I good in English and bad at Math?

Some people's brains just work differently. It's the same way with me and my boyfriend - I'm good at math and he really sucks at it. Of course, I wasn't always good at it either, and I've had a lot of practice. From 3rd grade in elementary school up until 10th grade in high school, I took extra tutoring at a place called Kumon (look them up, they're international!).

The idea is, they give you worksheets with math problems that you go through at your own pace. Through the repitition you build up your accuracy and your speed. You start off with the basic concepts and work your way up to harder. By the time I was in high school, I was doing math that was 3 years above my grade level. It was a really big pain to me because I hated having extra "homework", but in the end it has really paid off. It really helped me solidify my understanding of math so that I was able to do well in more advanced subjects like trigonometry, calculus, linear algebra, etc.

Of course you can still get a job in the future. You will probably still need to use math in your life and for your job, but with more practice you should be decent enough.

How do I do good in English Class??!?!?

Yep you can see as you made a couple of mistakes in your question. The best and most enjoyable way to improve your English skills is to start reading a lot more. This doesn't have to be a chore, there are plenty of good novels out there, if you start reading a lot of novels, good English will soak into your brain.

What makes good English?

First of all, never give heed to criticism. People laugh at anything and everything these days. The actual question you need to be asking is, how one could improve their English.Although most Indians speak good English, they are usually mocked at for their accent. Indians find it hard to come out of their native accent. So the first rule in improving your English is to come out of your native accent, no matter which region you are from. You could watch English films and videos or listen to English songs or audio and observe how each word is pronounced by native English speakers. Mostly, go for the British version. Americans usually butcher the English language. The second one is to improve your grammar. Bad grammar is always laughed at, no matter what language you are speaking. Grammar is easy to master once you learn the rules, and the rules are quite easy too.All you need to do is, use the right preposition with the right word. You could Google up the preposition part. Also, reading usually aids in this step.Thirdly, the usage of bombastic words doesn't imply good English. Use them only when you're sure of the usage.Once you follow all of the above, I'm sure your English would be flawless.

Which is one correct. She is good at english. or She is good in english?

She is good at English. (if you're talking about the language).

How do I become a good English writer?

I am sorry to say but you just don’t become a good writer(English, or any other language). Its not like Engineering where you take up few courses, do assignments and you are done with it.You need a lot of things in your mind to write even a proper paragraph, otherwise most of the stuff that youwrite would be gibberish. For Eg:- you need about 200 lines of material in your head to write just 50 lines from them.So how to gather those thoughts?? Well… the answer is simple. READ.Read a lot, like really a lot. Because the more you read, the more you form opinions, and once you form a substantial amount of content in your head, you can finally write some readable stuff to actually publish or at least showcase to somebody. The start writing with something small, like an article or a blogpost. Then when you are comfortable go for maybe a novel or a paper journal whatever you want. But side by side keep reading, because not only gives you content to ponder upon but will improve your grammar and sentence formation.A writer with a pen is like woodcutter with an axe, and reading is like sharpening the blades of the axes, so read a lot before even attempting to write something. Also since you said to be an English writer, then try to even think in English because our general tendency is to think in Hindi(or native language) and then convert it into English while writing which deteriorates our writing further.

How one can be good at English literature?

In short, read, read, read. Everything that follows is a natural byproduct of that.First, read—frequently and widely. Read authors, genres, and subjects you’d never thought you’d ever read before. Read authors and books from every period of history, from the pre-historic to last week. The more diverse your reading is, the better equipped you will be for later studies.Next, analyze—it doesn’t help you much if you read a lot but never stop to think about what your reading actually means. Whenever you read a book, try to look out for themes, motifs, undercurrents, or any other aspect of the work that can clue you in to its true meaning. Always do you best to find and appreciate the full depth of the work.Lastly, write—for multiple reasons. For one, writing down your notes on your analyses of your readings will help you better track your train of thought during your studies, and in turn help you produce better analyses. But writing frequently also increases your ability to recognize certain characteristics of authors’ works, and identify common traits and tendencies. It will give you a better appreciation of those who write better than you ever will! But of course, being “really good in English literature” is a subjective thing. Do you want to read quickly? Write your analyses succinctly? Or recognize and comprehend the diverse works in the literary cannon? It’s all up to you. Whatever your goal is, however, I think that these guidelines written above should be a good help to you.
