Unfortunately there are some real dirt bags in the US Military along with all the amazing people. I wouldn’t take into fact that the person being in the military gives them some higher moral character. Look at the situation as if they weren’t in the military. If what they are asking for or doing doesn’t make sense then its probably not legitimate and they are one of the dirt bags.

How can I tell between a fake & real $1 bill?
I live in two countries. In the states I have only seen a counterfeit bill twice, in 50+ years. Both times in a store that displays fake bills to deter Counterfeiters. In the Philippines, where cash is very much preferred, happens often. I bypass local Money Exchangers, even if they have great reputations and better rates. I use the banks, just for this reason.I have learned through the banks the best way to tell a counterfeit. Besides the security features, it’s the paper. It’s not even paper, it’s more like cloth (linen). Through the years I have developed a feel for real money. Specially when I’m Manila. I only use cash. Take care….
