My Breath still stinks after brushing my teeth?

I have bad breath after hour or so after I brush my teeth. What could be the problem?

Bad Breath is something everyone experiences at one time or another. The problem behind Bad Breath can be as follows:-1. Dry mouth due to long periods of speaking, smoking, drinking alcohol, and snoring are a few common causes. Most people experience foul breath in the morning due to lack of saliva production while they sleep. 2. Halitosis can be exacerbated by certain foods such as onions and garlic because they contain smelly compounds. 3.Coffee and juices can contribute to this problem because they are acidic and provide these bacteria with an ideal breeding environment.4.Poor dental hygiene causes bacterial build up on the teeth and gums. This leads to gum disease such as gingivitis. 5.Halitosis are also caused by certain illnesses like diabetes, lung disease, kidney disease, cancer, liver disease, respiratory tract infections, or metabolic disorders often experience chronic foul breath due to dry mouth.Remedies of Bad Breath:-1. Extremely bad breath after brushing teeth?

Do her gums bleed easy? She needs to get her teeth cleaned at a dentist office, and mention her concern about breath.
Generally, bad breath comes from decomposing food located far back on the tongue, between teeth, under gums. You can't see or reach the stuff under the gums, but a hygienist has tools to reach it and pick out all the old dried up deposits. They will carefully clean out the gum pockets that fill up with hardened food and plaque, also advise how to keep it clean afterward.

Bad breath can also come from acid reflux from the stomach, but that's a medical problem.
GOOD LUCK! It's nice of you to Yahoo this question out of concern for your sister.

Why does my breath still smell after brushing my teeth?

I brush my teeth and use a mouth rinse twice a day, and don't drink coffee or tea with milk. My breath smells unpleasant at least 5 minutes after brushing my teeth, what's wrong?

I brush my teeth everyday, but my breath still smells?

Two simple questions: how long has it been since you've had your teeth cleaned at the dentists office and do you floss every day? If you haven't had your teeth professionally cleaned, brushing them isn't going to do much to get rid of the hard tarter on your teeth and you also could have gum disease. If you are brushing but not flossing, you are only doing half the job. Brushing only cleans the part of the tooth above the gumline, it won't clean the area below the gumline or between the teeth. Food debri can get stuck in those areas, and it only takes a small amount for the bacteria that also exists there to allow the bacteria to feast on the food and create a foul odor.
My first thought on this though is that you may very well have periodontal disease (gum disease) and you really need to see your dentist for an exam and cleaning if it's been awhile (more than a year). If you do go in regularily though, just be sure to floss daily and see if that doesn't help to lessen the odor. Good luck!
