Why do Republicans want to control women?
Someone asked a question about how liberals resemble Middle Eastern men and it got me thinking about how much in common the Rethuglicans have with some Middle Eastern countries in respect to the rights they think women should have. When Bush reinstated the Global Gag Rule, missions of women around the WORLD started DYING from it. All for even just MENTIONING abortion. How is that any different from stoning women for doing something the men don't like? Why do Rethuglican men (and some Democratic men too) think they should have ANY say over what women do with their own bodies? Where does that kind of arrogance come from? Our culture. And it's the same with the middle eastern men's culture. They grow up priviledged. The Rethuglicans think women should DIE for even mentioning abortion. If you are a Republican, you support these needless deaths. What do you think?
Pro-Life Democrat vs. Pro-choice Republican ?
I would have to put a lot of thought behind it. The thing is the democrats will never put up a prolife democrat for a national office. I have more that I disagree with the democratic party than just abortion. Taxation and spending are just two areas. I don't believe in any form of welfare. All welfare does is make someone dependent on government. You have to be more careful with democrats because they are willing to violate the constitution where it comes to the constitutional right to firearms. The problem the Republican party is the so-called moderates (in actuality liberals), or what we refer to as RINO. They believe in spending on everything that government has no right to spend money on, will vote for gun control, and are bas Actually, what I might do is write in someone just to make a point. (even if doesn't mean anything other than staying true to my principles)
Why do some women vote for the Republican Party?
Some? Actually there is a sizable bloc of women that vote Republican.They do so because they do not believe the left wing rhetoric and intellectual sophistry. My wife, for instance, read both party platforms and made up her own mind. She looked at the history of the most recent democrat and republican presidents and congressional representatives. While she finds fault in them all, the found far less fault with the Republicans than the Democrats. She felt the Democrats were slinging demagoguery and were patronizing and she was very affected by how the Democrats resort to bullying and violence when they can’t win an argument on facts. Especially, the racism and sexism accusations when she considered it was the Democrats who fought to keep slavery - literally tearing the country apart over it and the Democrats that fought against the Civil Rights and Voting Rights Acts of the 1960’s. It was Republicans that sent the national guard to protect young black students in Little Rock, the capital of her home state. It was the Democrats that tried to block the doors, attacked the kids and hurled racist insults at them.
Christian Republicans vs. Christian Democrats?
How do Christian Democrats deal with issues like abortion and how much of it is garbadge ? I am a Republican, but sometimes I wonder why ? I just want really fair open views here. I know Presedent Kennedy was Demorcrate, but he was also a full Catholic Christian, so abortion would have been out. Or, would it have been ? I am Born again, Holy Spirit filled Christian/ Roman Catholic,woman. I have stayed a Republican, because I have been "told" that they are the most moral, morality believers, decent. Is this true ? Are Christian Democrats are trying to put more restrictions on abortions ? Are you in favor of Abortion? Fighting / working to keep marriage pure,between a man and woman, working to keep same sex marriages illegal? I just want to know. Thanks.
