Help! So my fiancée and I are trying to refinance. Her ex wife is completely spiteful and angry and will not sign the paper work in order for this to go through. We could have the papers signed and the money come through as soon as Friday. However this person is completely not agreeing. In the divorce paperwork it states that my fiancée has rights to the house (and she has been paying the mortgage the entire time.) Her ex wife moved out two months after they purchased the house and is now remarried to someone else and has been for one year and a month. We live in California. Do we have any rights to force her to sign the quit claim? We've already tried offering her money and things like that but she's just being stubborn.
