How Come Some Questions Sometimes Never Show Up

Why are my questions not showing up?

I tried editing it to add additional information, but it never showed. I would think, given some of the other questions that have been allowed, mine would be fairly uncontroversial. It had to do with political views and darwinism given a new genetic discovery (DRD4).

Do questions asked anonymously show up under Questions in your profile?

No. They do not. And you do not follow them or get notifications. Any answer suggesting that is wrong.Anonymous questions and answers float out on an island with no connection whatsoever to your account. The only way you can access any content you post anonymously is with an edit link, which you must set up before posting your content. This is the window that opens before you post anonymous content. Unless you maintain that edit link, you won’t be able to access a question, or answer anonymously. You can edit questions without the link, but your name would show in the edit log. You can only edit anonymously using that link.Any answers you post, the same rule applies. You do not follow or get notifications of any kind unless you follow the question as yourself, your name would show. You can’t comment on the question or any answers anonymously - if you comment, your name would show.Anonymous is on an island, isolated from all accounts - it’s a separate entity from any users.Upcoming Changes to Anonymity on Quora by Riley Patterson on Quora Product Updates

Why does no one answer questions?

I noticed that it takes quite some time for questions to be answered on this site, but yet the site suggests that your question will be answered in just a couple minutes. Why is that it now takes for days so a question can be answered? Or sometimes it's never answered. Someone explain. (I bet this question won't even be answered either) Also is their an app for answers.yahoo.com? If not their should be one to make this easier.

How long generally does it take to get an answer for any question through Yahoo!Answers?

It depends on several factors, including time asked, subject matter, and difficulty. If a hard chemistry question, it may take a couple of days. If a "Your fave flavor" type, you may get 30 answers in 5 minutes. Note "your fave" questions are violations.

I ask God questions but he never answers. How do I get him to answer me?

He does answer. Maybe you don’t like His answers. Maybe you aren’t listening properly. Maybe you just don’t believe in God so you’re asking this question as a passive aggressive excuse to bash Him. God has answered people all throughout history. The world does not revolve around you. Sometimes God’s answer is no. That doesn’t mean He isn’t answering. That means He’s saying no. Sometimes people have a hard time with being told no. Maybe you’re one of those people. I mean I know I don’t like being told no. But realistically if God tells me no I am content because He is much wiser than I am. He loves us and provides our lives to us along with all the good things in them. Trust Him to lead you. Don’t try to come up with a formula to try to force Him to answer you the way you want to be answered. God doesn’t always appear as an angel and literally personally hand deliver answers to prayers. Sometimes if we think he’s not answering it’s really us who aren’t listening.

Why are the questions I am asking not appearing on my profile?

The same problem was faced by me too. I tried everything but the question I asked was not appearing in my profile and I didn’t ask anonymously. But I finally found why this happened. When you ask a question there is a button “follow” just below your question which is automatically clicked i.e., it will be showing as “following”. You will receive notifications who followed your question, the question will also appear in your profile and you can also request the answer. But, here comes the problem. Once you stop following the question, the question no longer appears in your profile, you no longer receive notifications for who followed your question and if you start following your question again the problem remains the same. So, if you unfollow your question even once, the question won’t appear in your profile, doesn’t matter if you follow it again. This is the glitch that Quora is having. You will still receive notifications for answers if you follow it again. You can find your question in “your content” easily and you can still request answers for your questions.Hope this helps.

Why don't college students ask questions in class?

I've been waiting for this question!!!It's plain and simple! Lecturers are there to do a performance, not teach. Lecturers want the lecture to finish with a wild applause not a question about what they didn't understand in the content. That is exactly why they were split from tutorials so lecturer's didn't have to deal with it. 50% of people don't turn up to lectures because they know that they will be teaching themselves the content anyway. The only reason you do show up is if you care about the content or if it is mandatory. The only kids who will continually ask questions are the ones who already understand the content and will drive it forward and give the lecture momentum. That's exactly what the lecturer wants to hear so will intentionally or unintentionally silence anyone who doesn't add to the flow. The structure of learning at a younger ages is similar coaching, which is the most effective form of teaching. You are coached when you are 0-5, to walk, talk, cut a line, draw, write a letter. Classes become increasingly more like performances with autonomous learning between 6-18 and by uni you are learning everything by yourself and the performance has hit the big stage (for the lecturer). In summary, there is no teaching going on in a lecture. It is a presentation, a show, a performance. As with a comedy show or any other performance if an audience member aids the show they will be referred to more often, if they don't add to the show they will be ignored, silently or directly. Getting a bit older and still taking courses which I am interested in this is a very frustrating thing once you are learning something simply for fun. The teacher will follow the speed of the smartest in the class, which is ridiculous as that person already knows the content, but as I said, they are there to perform. Don't stress about it though, that is exactly what it should be and the better you can perform the more they will pay attention. How well you can teach will come down to how much you care once the performance is finished. Sadly most lecturers couldn't care less, but there is some teachers out there who will sit with you patiently until you understand completely and when you meet them it is absolutely inspiring.
