How Come There Is A War In Iraq

Did you support the Iraq war?

Yes, I support being at war. Look at World War II. They were killing all the Jews. This is shown on TV over and over again so that it never happens again, so we don't forget and let something like that happen again. But it has happened again. In Africa and in Iraq. In Iraq we are doing something about it. GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS!

What started the war in Iraq?

no, the iraq war started when iraq invaded kuwait unprovoked. the whole world rallied to expel him. then he surrendered. months after 9/11 and months after we had gone into afghanistan (base of the terrorists), the UN determined that saddam had broken the terms of the surrender (and violated more than a dozen resolutions in the process) so the surrender was off and the war was on.
dont let the blind bush haters spin you.
p.s. the video posted by filafal (above) was from march 20 2003 the day the invasion began and does not mention 9-11.

Are we still at war in Iraq?

There is war in a placed called Iraq and we're involved. There have been many wars of all sorts in Iraq since time immemorial. We had to return to Iraq shortly after leaving to fight the Caliphate but we did so efficiently with certain strategies that involved letting friendly locals do the grunt work. ISIS isn't even cold in there graves and new conflicts have already started involving Iranian proxy militias, armed Kurds making their own decisions with or without Baghdad's approval, civil dissidence over the slowness of reconstruction, internal refugee problems, corruption issues since there's nothing stopping any man with a weapon with a gun from extorting someone without one.Yes we are at war in Iraq, although you could count our losses in their cutthroat politics with your fingers.

ARE WE WRONG OR RIGHT FOR THE WAR IN iRAQ?

AND MORE SO DOES IT MATTER .... UMMMMM NO ... I AM PROUD OF OUR TROOPS NO MATTER WHY THEY ARE THERE THEY GIVE UP SO MUCH FOR US... THEY GIVE UP MOMENTS WITH THIER WIVES THIER CHILDREN AND WELL JUST MOMENTS IN LIFE DAY TO DAY THINGS SO WE CAN DO SOMETHING AS STUPID AS ... HAVE THIS QUESTION ON YAHOO ONLINE ... XOXOXO

Do you think the war in iraq is a civil war now if so why?

Yes....it has started to turn into a civil war. To your why......because shia and sunni are two Muslim groups who have been turned against each other . Where there is fuel it is easy to turn it into fire. So there are a lot of people who are exploiting this situation.

Did the Iraq war happen due to money? The war cost the US over $2 trillion, and the oil that the US got was less than $100 billion. Is it plausible to think that because corporations benefit from war, the Iraq war took place to support them?

Yes, it did, but not just about money, even more important is who gets the money. The United States is and has always been a net exporter of Petroleum distillates. Distillates are things like gasoline, kerosene and diesel. The U.S. buys foreign oil through long term contracts and refines it, much of it on the Gulf Coast. At the time of the Iraq War the U.S. produced about 1/5 of the world’s distillates and exported millions of barrels of distillates a day. Refining oil is the economic heart of states that border the Caribbean. The most profitable oil to refine is known as Light Sweet Crude, which can be refined by almost any refinery. Other grades of Petroleum, sour crude, have contaminants in them which make them much more expensive to refine and may require specially built refineries at billions of dollars each. Guess what kind of oil the Iraq oil fields produce? Yes that’s right Light Sweet Crude, the most sought after grade of Petroleum. Guess what Texas used to produce a lot of, yeah light sweet Texas crude. Texas is still an oil producer but not like it used to be. Now it uses its refineries to distill petroleum from other places.Even though the U.S. is producing more petroleum than it can use now, the U.S. still imports about 20% of Iraq’s oil. That’s because there is leftover refining capacity that can only handle Light Sweet Crude. Remember, back when the U.S. invaded Iraq the second time there were huge shortages of that kind of oil Iraq produces and prices were going up and up and by 2012 had reached $110 a barrel. Now days it is only $24 a barrel. As you can imagine, the more and cheaper light sweet oil that is available the higher the net profit is for oil refiners like Shell and Chevron.Invading Iraq was about increasing their production in a time before fracking when the big oil fields that produce Light Sweet Crude were peaking in production.

Why are we still at war in Iraq and Afghanistan?

The problem with those countries is they’re not accepting American control over their resources and economy. They also really hate the puppet governments the US has installed. Given a say in how their country runs would mean they would elect leaders who will initially work in their own people’s interests, which means not serving America’s. And then eventually the young will grow up knowing how the US destroyed their country and their lives, they would eventually become very antagonistic towards the US. This antagonism will grow and spread to other countries. The US has no choice but to keep those countries occupied and to kill any group that speak up against US control and oppression.

Why did Bush go to war with Iraq and Afghanistan?

Hard to call them wars. More like hotly contested occupations. In the case of Afghanistan, the goal was to create a new situation so there would be no real scrutiny of his government in the year leading up to 9–11. Thus he could use the excuse of ‘there is a war on’ in order to be saved from being held responsible for his regime’s incompetence.Iraq helped keep the whole thing going—hey, there is another war on. You are with us or against us. Etc. But it really represents a convergence of interests over regime change for Iraq. US domestic oil, US defense / national security, the Bush faction in the RP, the CIA faction in the DP, etc. Iraq was indeed a rogue state—not for WMD (those were gone). But in oil dumping and driving down the price. It should be pointed out Russia cried crocodile tears for the destruction of Iraq since it helped them with their own fossil fuel marketing so much. Ditto Venezuela.Other goals include blocking Russian and Iranian objectives for energy exports. An occupation of Afghanistan is key to that. since it is the country that Russia and Iran would use to run pipelines for oil and gas to populous S. Asia. The other ‘keystone state’ (running the other way) is Syria. So you can see why the US felt the need to destroy Syria too.

Iraq War . A soldier comes running?

up to a fork in the road and breathlessly said to a Nun who was stood their, " Sister, can I hide under your Habit, I 'll explain WHY later " ?
" Of course you can " replied the Nun. Just then two Military Police came running up and asked the Nun if she had seen a soldier ? " He went up there " she said pointing up the road. After they had gone the hiding soldier appeared and said to the Nun, " thank you Sister, I don't want to go to war in Iraq, and may I say what a fine pair of legs you have " !
