How Come When I Shake My Head I Hear Water Or Some Kind Of Fluid At The Back Of My Head

Why does my head sometimes hurt when I shake it?

Because the pressure which is outside our body doesn't match to the pressure inside our skull. That's why in accidents the possibility of brain damage is more. The sudden imbalance in pressures can lead to brain haemorrhage.

Why do I hear sounds like crystals shattering or sand grinding in my head when I move my head/neck side to side?

It has also been described as sand grinding between bones. If you are fairly young , and don't have a history of bone , or disc disease , it can be the result of loss of your normal alignment of your Cervical spine , especially after a Whiplash type accident , long term sleeping on your stomach , or two pillows , hours of looking down at your work everyday , or a habitual 16 hour combination of work , and sleeping in a fetal position for several years.A side Xray view of your Cervical (neck ) will show a loss of natural curvature , aka “ Military Neck “ That looks similar to this [ | ] , this [ /] , instead of this [ ) ]Certain Doctors of Chiropractic use a technique , with a drop forward, and down headpiece , at C-5 to gradually RE-SELLERS introduce the natural curve back into the neck.Personally , I have seen it happen as quickly as 3 weeks , and as slowly as 2 years , with documented progress on Xray views .Grinding symptoms usually disappear in 4–8 weeks after initiating treatment.

How come when I shake my head I hear water or some kind of fluid at the back of my head?

A while ago a friend of mine asked me a question and I shook my head for no, but I could hear and feel some kind of fluid at the very back of my head on the right side. I soon shook my head regularly to see if the sound had gone away but it hasn't gone and I've had it for a few months now. Suggestions as to what it could be? I get very bad migraines, could this be part of a side effect?

Why do I hear a rattling noise when my cat shakes his head?

You need to take your cat to a vet. Not this very minute, but you should make an appointment soon as you can shift your schedule.

The cat shaking it's head when you rub his ears is one sign of ear mites. The brown waxy discharge is another.

The rattling sound is just the cat shaking his ears so hard that you're hearing the sound of the ears flopping around so from him shaking his head so hard.

The Ear Mite treatment is usually not very expensive and the treatment isn't difficult. All you have to do is take the cat in, let the vet determine the type of motes, the severity of the infestation and to select the medicine drops that would do the best job of killing the mites. All you have to do is to actually drop the liquid in his ears at the times and in the amount the Vet prescribes.

You're cat isn't going to be happy about it, but it isn't pain but just not liking the icky feeling of the liquid on top of the sensations that the mite infestation is giving him. It'll clear up in short order and you're cat will be feeling much better.

Water in my ear and it won't come out!!?

I would highly doubt it's bugs. Your symptoms sound just like an ear infection to me. I get ear infections every year, and they get really bad FAST. The "water" is actually fluid behind your eardrum. The pain starts as that fluid pushes against the ear drum. Mine almost ruptured last time it got infected b/c I waited until the pain was so bad I couldn't sleep. Please don't do that - get it checked out soon. Ear infections don't clear up on their own. The doctor will give you antibiotics and within 24 hours it will feel normal again. As much as it feels like water, it's not. And not bugs either.

I’m facing a headache problem. It’s different from other headaches. I’m feeling water inside my head. If I shake my head, I can feel something inside. Is there any solution for this or home remedy?

Dear Friend,I used to suffer from a similar kind of problem seldom. Before we go to the solution, let's understand what causes this problem. There are the major reasons (at least from my perspective)1.Not drying the hair properly after a head bath.2.Wearing helmet during summer and going for a long drive which in turn causes lot of sweating and then stepping into an air conditioned room immediately. This used to happen frequently during summer when I used to drive from my home to Office.3.Stepping out without proper protection for your ears during winter months. Now coming to the solution…..This has always worked wonders for me.1.Boil water in a vessel. Let it boil until water starts getting converted into steam.2.Place the vessel on the floor.3.Add eucalyptus oil or amrutanjan or zandu balm or vicks to the water.4.Take a large bedsheet that could cover you completely.5.Sit on the floor and cover yourself with the bedsheet in such a way that you are able to inhale the vapor from the vessel. You should allow the vapor to escape easily.6.Take deep breaths.7.Allow the vapor to enter both your ears as well.Note :- I generally used to get a tablet from the pharmacy that is primarily manufactured for this purpose i. e., to be inhaled. It would be in the form of a jelly. To be more precise some medicinal liquid inside a capsule. You can pierce the tablet with a blade or scissor and put two of them inside the hot water instead of vicks etc.,Just one such inhalation exercise has solved my problem almost every time when I used to encounter this problem.

I have water stuck deep in my ear, how do I get it out?

I was swimming earlier and I came back inside and now my ear is really painful and is clogged up with water. It is really deep.. I think.. because usually it would come out if i leaned my head a bit.. but now when i lean my head I can't even feel the water moving. Whenever I move my head it sort of feels as if I have my hands over my ears and rubbing them really hard... that's the best I can describe it as :P.
Umm... I've tried cotton buds but its way too deep for that. I need the water out within 3 hours.... badly.

Please help... any advice would do... apart from stupid things like "hammer a nail into your head"

My cat has water coming out of his ears along with unidentified material, help please?

Your cat and probably both of them have ear mites. Get medicine from vet. A bottle of "Mita-Clear" is usually about $6-8 depending on the vet. Never tried the OTC treatments so I can speak to those. You have to clean the ears out and insert med & sort of 'rub' or 'squish' it down into the ear canal. I use a Q-tip but you didn't hear that from me! :) Sometimes that can jam the gunk further down so don't use it hard. The cats freaking HATE it, so stand back they will shake their head! (outside may be best 'cuz that black crusty stuff is ear mite poop mixed with earwax, ugh). Sometimes they can be stubborn to get rid of, they tend to give them back & forth to each other. Just have to be diligent and follow the directions.

PS: I've never seen any thick clear liquid in my cats' ears. Your cat may have a secondary infection from scratching at the ear mites & causing sores in his ears. So prob let vet take a look. He might need antibiotics too. Good luck.
