Do Indian men marry white women?
Its not the fact if Indian men would marry white women. Is that can they trust white women to be loyal wives who follow Indian traditions. I know Indian guys play around in colleges with white women but in the back of their head when they see how easy white women are with drinking and partying, it gives them a sense that these relationships are temporary. I've noticed the good looking tall bollywood looking Indian guys generally stay with their women who are in return are also bollywood looking Indian girls. Most notably Punjabi males and females. However the darker skinned Indian guys from the south are more likely to be in relationships with white women. Also generally speaking the ones in the south have good social skills which attracts many white women from what I've seen while the good looking Indian guys from the north tend to rely on looks a bit much and less on social abilities.
Would an Indian man (parents from India) marry a white girl?
Depends on the family. The general stereotype where the family is very traditional would generally be problematic if you wanted to persue a longer relationship with him. Alot of Indian families, esp those in the US, are not all that traditional anymore. Im Indian, and my family is less traditional than most, even american families. My parents have no say in my life, who i marry, what i do, which college I go to. I'm a rare case though yes, it can be a problem. meet his parents. if they dress traditionally, have indian accents, if the father looks like he is sizing you up, then in all probability youve got yourself a potential problem.
Do white guys like Indian girls?
I've recently started watching the Mindy Project on tv, and it's about an Indian doctor and her love life. She tends to attract white men. I'm half Indian, half English and was born in England. However, the types of guys that I attract are usually black or Indian...never a white guy. My Indian friends also attract the same guys. I've also never seen an Indian girl with a white man (I've seen it the opposite way around). I mean, there are a lot of interracial couples like white and Asian, white and black, black and Hispanic etc..but I've never seen an asian woman and a white man. I know the majority of white men tend to go for white woman, but is it true that white men don't like Indian girls?

This is, according to me, mostly because they have lesser number of samples of their own kind to pick from, and thus have a wider definition of beauty. Now let's look at Indian girls. They clearly hate their own ethnic group (in this regard, they are similar to Black females) almost to the point of exclusion. So yes, Indian women like white guys more than they like Indian guys. It could be internalized racism, or just an indication of the undateable-ness of Indian guys (they perform fairly poorly in general as well) borne mostly out of their repressed background (and tell me not about it, I have lived there all my life and know about it very closely).These could also indicate how the concept of beauty has been mostly defined by the people in charge of the dominant media: White people. It can easily be seen in fashion, advertising, pop culture, etc. Humans find it easy to define beautiful for things they see over and over again, and culture has been firmly a white man's commodity for the past couple of centuries.Also, these trends tend to persist over time (again, check out the blog, it is quite amazing).In fact, the trends seem to have gotten stronger. You can also see white women being ranked more favorably than any other ethnic group, demonstrating the point on beauty.

Yes, there is a huge amount of multicultural integration these days, especially in London and other big cities. In fact, if anyone asked that question in, for instance, a pub or bar, etc the questioner would get some very strange looks, precisely because of the level of integration.Yes, as the reply from Chris says, there are some jerks but there are self - centered idiots everywhere!
How do Indian guys in the US find Indian girls to marry, and how do I guys in my situation cope with this dilema?
Are you Indian Indian or Indian American? I did my graduate degree at Stanford and got my ass out of the bay as soon as possible. Why - because there are just too many guys. Yes there are a lot of brown people statistically but they are all dudes and older married couples anyway. Its also difficult to meet new people in a society where your life is consumed by being in your car, going to work, then being in your car. It's just not conducive to having a social life, even if you are more social than the average person. The best thing I can suggest is to move to NYC. It's a much better dating scene for men and I see Indian couples all the time. And oh my GOD the girls are gorgeous. If you're on the software side you should be able to find a job though certainly the market won't compete with SF. People are just more outgoing, more socially open, have more going on in their lives. Short of doing that, you could try OkCupid. I just took a gander - I filtered for chicks 22-34 (idk what your age range is) within 10 miles of PA and found a good number (though admittedly fewer than I expected - but it only takes one!). My uncle had a similar issue when he was doing his MBA in Chicago. Back then online dating was really new but he gave it a shot anyway (this was on Match). 15 years and 2 kids later they are still going strong. One other thing I could recommend (but with which I don't have any experience) is to perhaps join some Indian cultural society. In fact it's a big regret of mine that I didn't do it when I was still in school. That will automatically filter in like-minded girls. There will be a lot of aunties and uncles but who knows - maybe they're looking to set their daughter up with a well-to-do engineer. BTW, I had 2 friends at Stanford (who were Indian Indian) and they got arranged after giving up on the dating scene in the bay.
Do you think many south asian women don't date outside of their race because their parents tell them not to..?

From experience around 12-20 a lot of south asian girls date outside their race (black and white guys) but when it comes to them being in their early-mid 20's they strictly date south asian guys. From my view some south asian women do find other races of men attractive (which they date at a younger age) but due to per pressure (from family) they only date south asian men when it becomes serious dating..
