How Could I Structure My Extended Project

Should I do my extended essay on the subject I love even if the adviser that comes with it is incompetent? I'm scared I might get a bad grade because my adviser won't help me at all.

Yes.You’ll spend a lot of time doing this project so there’s no reason for you not to do it about something you love.Your advisor should only comment on structural and grammatical things. Regarding content and analysis, he should only correct you when you’ve royally Fucked up.My advisor was a really good teacher and everything, but he didn’t know shit about my topic. Like, nothing at all.My EE was on Math so I had to learn all of the topic by myself. He did recommend me some books for the basic stuff but the advanced things I had to find them on my own.He didn’t correct a single word in my second chapter because he didn’t understand it. I could have written the Earth is flat in the last moment and he wouldn’t have noticed because he didn’t check it. I sent my EE without being sure if my math was right. He was really good with the EE structure though. He knew the format and what to put on the abstract, introduction and conclusion to get maximum points. However, any advisor who can read the criterions SHOULD be able to tell you this. Even if your advisor is bad, he should know this.Without his orientation on these topics, I don’t think I could’ve gotten an A. You can always look for feedback with other teachers and what else.Hope this helped!

How and why have the family structure trends changed sover the past 10 years?

Nuclear families are not the norm. More kids are growing up with single parents or divorced parents than ever before that number has been growing since the late 60s and the women's liberation movement you might say is the straw that broke the camel's back. In any case, why has that structure changed so much? Well, because we still haven't recovered from that big movement in the 60's. No one knows their position in society anymore because there are no positions. Dad used to be the one who made the money and the big decisions, mom used to stay home and take care of the kids, families chose who married who, etc. People still want to try and hold on to those obsolete ways of the past and still try and do their own thing at the same time. It's one reason why so many marriages get screwed because a long time ago people didnt get married because they necessarily fell in love, a woman would do it for survival basically. Now everyone does it just because their friends do it or some other stupid ****. The reason why the past worked was because no one did their own thing, they were dictated to by tradition. Now there is no tradition so **** is all in chaos. That's rambling but there's a point in there. :)

What are the advantages and disadvantages of the extended family?

Extended families are families where three or more generations are living in the same house. Usually, that means that the grandparents are living with their children and grandchildren. Research has shown that there are several advantages to living in extended families. Extended families are very important in countries where there is no social security net. Extended families help prevent elderly people from becoming poor.Another advantage is that the grandparents can look after the children. During the day, the grandparents watch the children to make sure that they are ok. And they also talk to the children when the parents are busy. This helps the children learn their language. And since the children are well taken care of, both of the parents are free to work on the farm or earn money in jobs.

Disadvantages...
Sometimes you have no privacy because there are so many members... They can also cause conflict and problems, meddling in other family members' problems...

While it is advantageous when you have a problem to have other members around to help, sharing other family members' problems can also become burdensome on other members... so that you not only have your own problems to worry about, but those of your extended family.

Are there any literary terms used in the poem "A Birthday Present" by Sylvia Plath?

In "A Birthday Present", the veil is a metaphor for death.

Plath used numerous similes in this poem:

"Now there are these veils, shimmering like curtains"

"Let us eat our last supper at it, like a hospital plate."

"But my god, the clouds are like cotton."

"White as babies' bedding and glittering with dead breath. O ivory!"

"It stands at my window, big as the sky."

"Pure and clean as the cry of a baby"

She also used repetition, but always with different purposes. For example, one example of repetition is "Adhering to rules, to rules, to rules." The repetition of the word "rules" shows how bored she is with the repetitive rules that structure her life and the routine of life in general.

She uses repetition again when she writes, "Only let down the veil, the veil, the veil." The use of repetition here shows her obsession with the veil, her obsession with death.
