I was told that I would only need to wear braces for a 1 1/2 years. It's been 3 almost 4 years. As of a year ago, my braces have been completely paid for. After my second year, my teeth became perfectly straight. I have not seen any changes from year 2 to now. &I know this might sound dumb to some, but my braces has really lowered my self esteem, I already suffer from depression, and I feel like it gets worse after every orthodontic appointment. My parents have scheduled 2 meetings with my orthodontist. The first one they scheduled was a few months ago, and they said they understood and that they'd remove them on my next appointment. During that next appointment, they did not remove them. My parents scheduled another appointment and my orthodontist says that he's not going to remove them til after spring, and that he has no reason to remove them now. Here are my concerns.. 1. For over a year i've been having pain on one side of my mouth. My DENTIST took xrays but could not see what he needed to because the braces blocked the xray shots. The pain is getting worse, and my dentist can't do anything until the braces are off. 2. My orthodontist puts a metal wire on the back of my bottom teeth as a retainer. If i remove them myself, I can't give myself a retainer. 3. I have a band around one of my teeth, and I absolutely can not remove that myself. Please tell me what I should do, or how I can remove my braces myself??

One would be call the insurance company and tell them you no longer live in the household. You would need to send them proof that you don't live there and that you have insurance elsewhere. They will then call your mom and ask her if you live there or not. There are other ways but are much more drastic, such as getting caught with a couple of DUI's, at which time the insurance company will cancel the policy.

I am sorry but I see no way of you getting out of the lease without the approval of your ex boyfriend or landlord. However there is one way, it's a little underhanded and it may or may not work but it in the end it will not cost anymore than paying 1/2 the rent per month and may or may not involve a trip to court. Don't pay him, if he cannot pay on his own the landlord will evict him. Done, lease over. However your boyfriend can take you to court for restitution under the eviction but you will only owe your half of what is owed during the eviction process. It was his choice not to pay the full rent and his choice to move. Under an eviction the landlord can only charge him rent for the days he was there prior to his moving out, not the whole month. I suspect your boyfriend is playing a game with you and taking you for ride, put on the breaks and stop him. I don't think he will be taking you to court for monies owed as it might not go in his favour. An eviction does not hurt anyone's credit. There is no eviction police out there and no reports that another landlord can check. A word of advice keep in touch with the landlord regarding any amounts owing, do not take your boyfriends word on anything. The landlord will go after your boyfriend for the rent cause he's the one still there. If he continues to pay on his own then bully for him and he can get his money back by only taking you to court but if he gets a roommate to cover your portion of the rent your obligations are done cause double dipping is illegal. Under the circumstances your boyfriend is under a legal obligation to mitigate his losses, that's where a new roommate comes in. If he does not attempt to mitigate his losses it's likely a court will not rule in his favour. Remember, as long as your boyfriend pays the rent, the landlord is happy and has no reason to contact you, however your issue is then with the boyfriend. Handling this in the manner indicated is totally legal and is only a civil matter between you and your boyfriend. The landlord really has nothing to do with this as long as he gets his rent.
