How Did Obama And The Blacks Win The Civil War When They Were A Minority

Why did President Obama call black people who won't vote for Hillary Clinton an insult to his legacy?

I like to believe in simplicity, so I’ll answer this in a brief manner:It’s commonly known that African Americans and other minorities were denied the right to vote up and until the passage of the Civil Rights Act. There are still several cases of states attempting to impose voting regulations that disproportionately affect minorities (look at the recent court in North Carolina where the Court ruled that the law “targeted minorities with almost surgical precision”).A vote is a citizen’s greatest strength, second only to running for office. It is the means through which you may make your voice heard. And I know it may not feel that way because politics tends to breed cynicism, but your voice is powerful. If it weren’t so, then people wouldn’t have attempted to silence it.Thus it is an insult to the legacy of the first black POTUS that people who have had to earn the right to vote, a right that hundreds of thousands were killed or beaten or jailed to earn, don't exercise their vote. As is the same with any citizen who doesn't exercise their right to vote. In the paraphrased words of MLK, what we pay for isn’t the hate or the vitriol of the bad but the silence and inaction of the good. Not voting is akin to voting for the ideologies of those with whom you disagree. People fought tooth and nail to give minorities a voice. And what President Obama means more than anything else is this: use your voice and have it impact change. That’s the only way you will ever truly see a government by the people, for the people.

Why does Feminism gets such a bad rap but the Civil Rights Movement Or Religion does not get such a bad rap?

To both easygoing and billy, the feminist movement is not a hate movement, it is an equality movement no different than the civil rights movement.

To the man on the street and novaseek, the feminist movement does have a legitimate gripe. Yes men were hung on trees, women were raped whenever a man wanted to and it was her fault. Black men are no longer hung from trees but women are still being raped and some men get away with it. Go look at the statistics of rape.

Novaseek women don’t moan, it is men like you who moan just because women want equality. Women did have it just as bad as the blacks did, maybe rich women did not have it bad but the others they did, minority women worse.

As for women moaning about having to be stepford, let’s not forget it is white men not white women who are responsible for slavery, white men who are responsible for starting two world wars and all other wars, white men responsible for the holocaust and other genocide.

Y do ppl keep sying " how come 95% of blacks r votin for Obama and Romney has 0% of the black votes"?

Because a lot of people are just playing the same race card they always claim blacks play. As you said most blacks are Democrats, have been since the 1964 election when republicans stated they didn't want or need the black vote and they wanted the racist white vote.

I can't understand why any black person would ever vote republican since they never do anything for us besides enslaved us, lynched us, burned down our towns, purposefully infected us with an STD, voted against civil rights, flooded our neighborhoods with drugs, and waged a war on us. Oops, let me correct myself, conservatives did all those things because back in the day, republicans were actually liberal, until that is 1964. That's when blacks started voting Democrat.

Add to the fact they're flat out liars.
They claim Dr. King was republican, when in fact he was liberal as most blacks are, as the republican party was, until 1964. You can hear and see him speaking out against the republican party candidate in the first clip I provided. He starts speaking at the 2:56 point. They try to sell him as a republican because they think we're so stupid that all they have to do is say Dr. King was a republican and we'll go following along behind him.

They claim to balance the budget. Hasn't happened since Eisenhower in 1960.

They claim to be against rising debt but are responsible for 90% of it. It's also interesting to note debt didn't become a problem until Obama took office. Reagan and Dick Cheney claimed debt didn't matter.

They claim to be for smaller government but continue to push for more defense spending which is one of our governments largest expenditure.

So when you look at all the facts, there should never be a black person who votes republican.

BQ1- Democrat
BQ2- Obama, he's not perfect, in fact hes done quite a few things I'm not happy with, but he's still better than any republican.

Will America survive another 100 years?

With a deficit of $12 trillion dollars, the constitution being raped and violated, and the original White Americans rapidly falling into a minority, how can America survive as a nation? My theory is that it will collapse as a second civil war breaks out in the next 20 to 40 years. Your bets?

Why are black republicans an anomaly?

In all seriousness, I think this is a sub-cultural issue. There are black Republicans, but you're right ... there are far more black Democrats. I don't think it's too hard to ferret out why we see the trend, though.

Take the party identification at a 30,000 foot level perspective. Who are Republicans (generally)? They are usually successful, middle, upper-middle, and upper class professional white people. People who pay taxes are generally more inclined to align with the party that promises to reduce their tax burden.

Who are Democrats (generally)? Usually poor to lower-middle class people who work for hourly wages and/or are union members working in a trade. They rely on government programs and resources and are more inclined to align themselves with the party that promises to increase the tax burden on the "wealthy" and share their money with lower income people (i.e., redistribution of wealth).

At least in the modern context it seems to skew this way. So ask yourself, where do most black people fall? There is a growing class of college educated, professional black people in the US, and they tend to lean conservative, but they are still a relatively small group compared to the population as a whole. The thing about the Democrat promise to black Americans ... it is a self-propelling problem. When you establish dependency on an external benefactor, you inherently weaken the prospects for future self-sufficiency. Not that poor black people are lazy, but the culture of entitlements and government aid was not executed in a way that ultimately gave poor black Americans a way out. That was an afterthought. The projects breed more projects, as it were. There does seem to be a growing culture of excape from that cultural tailspin, and many of those who create a better life for themselves seem to be finding their way to the Republican party.

Black Republican politicians are viewed as sellouts by people who think you're not black unless you are poor, have been in prison, and live in projects. Success breeds enmity amongst those who crave it but don't have the capacity to provide it for themselves. This will ultimately change and "success" and "black" come to be more commonly associated terms.
