How Did You Go About Getting A Tattoo

Can u go tanning after getting a tattoo??

I would recommend against it, seriously. Minimally, wait at least a month before going out. The skin is healing and won't give the normal protection from UV. The upper, dead epidermis will still be getting replaced, and the non-shedding areas in the dermis & lower will have greater exposure.

This hardly means you'll get a melanoma from this specific action, but it's all additive and this will increase chances.

And yes, a little sun once won't kill a tattoo, but repeated tannings will. How do you think all those grizzled old sailors got their anchors blurred? If you want to have any ugly old blurry tattoo as quickly as possible, lots of tanning is definitely the way to go.

Addendum: To clarify, the layer of skin you normally shed over time is thinner while healing, meaning more carcinogenic UV B can penetrate to skin layers that do not shed and are, in fact, permanent. It's fine to trash the skin you'll shed - it's going away. Do not damage the skin below that. It's with you to stay.

Do you regret getting a tattoo?

For people that actually have tattoos. Lol.
But do you regret getting it at all? If you got it somewhere blatantly visible, do you wish you would've gotten it somewhere you can hide it?
I want to get a tattoo reallllly bad, but a lot of people I know who have them say don't because they regret getting it later in life. Others don't say that though. I'm just curious.
Also, what kind of tattoo did you get for your first? I hear if you get a really big one for the first it can be super painful, but my friend got one and she said it was just like an adrenaline rush.

Why was i sick getting my tattoo?

I had gotten several tattoos before from one artist, however, during my fourth one, located on the lower right hand side of my back, the shop owner tattooed me. (previously, his right hand man did all of my tattoos, but the owner asked if he could do this one, because it was a design he really was interested in) During this tattoo, I had a very similar experience as you. It felt like someone was stabbing right through my kidney with a blazing hot knife. I became very hot and nauseous. I did not vomit, but I did faint. The nausea and clammy, weird, "hangover" like symptoms stayed with me for several hours after words. Needless to say, it was not a pleasant experience. The tattoo is now a few years old, and upon feeling it, it is raised, like a scar. Unfortunately, the artist went too deep and I think that it why the pain was so much greater and caused me to faint, etc. I have since gotten 2 more tattoos, from my other artist artist and have had no problems.

Can you go to the beach after getting a tattoo?

It is safe, but it would be not good for the tattoo. The only reason they tell you to stay out of the sun after getting a tattoo is because it will fade it very fast. & if you get a sunburn it will peal pretty quickly. When you go & get your tattoo they will tell you everything you need to know & how to take care of it & they will answer all your questions. & you can always just call a local tattoo shop & ask(:

Can you have caffeine before getting a tattoo?

Any kind of stimulants can bother you while getting a tattoo. Caffine won't do you any harm though. I think the reason behind him saying "No Mt. DEW" Is because sodas tend to make you have to pee more and then you would have to be taking more breaks. As long as you don't take asprin, alcohol, barbituates, etc. you should be fine. Good Luck!

Getting a tattoo underage?

Technically, you wouldn't be in the wrong. The tattoo parlour would be in the wrong, because they should have IDed you

Do you go straight to hell for getting a tattoo ?

No, The Old Testament law commanded the Israelites, “Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the LORD” (Leviticus 19:28). So, even though believers today are not under the Old Testament law (Romans 10:4; Galatians 3:23-25; Ephesians 2:15), the fact that there was a command against tattoos should raise some questions. The New Testament does not say anything about whether or not a believer should get a tattoo.

In relation to tattoos and body piercings, a good test is to determine whether we can honestly, in good conscience, ask God to bless and use that particular activity for His own good purposes. “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God” (1 Corinthians 10:31). The New Testament does not command against tattoos or body piercings, but it also does not give us any reason to believe God would have us get tattoos or body piercings.

An important scriptural principle on issues the Bible does not specifically address is if there is room for doubt whether it pleases God, then it is best not to engage in that activity. Romans 14:23 reminds us that anything that does not come from faith is sin. We need to remember that our bodies, as well as our souls, have been redeemed and belong to God. Although 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 does not directly apply to tattoos or body piercings, it does give us a principle: “Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.” This great truth should have a real bearing on what we do and where we go with our bodies. If our bodies belong to God, we should make sure we have His clear “permission” before we “mark them up” with tattoos or body piercings.

While getting a tattoo, do you really get numb on your own after 5 minutes?

I wanted to get anaesthesia to relieve pain on numbing gel or something, but my tattoo artist did not think it a good idea. I mean how painful can it be? But then I heard lots of fainting stories! So do you really get numb after some time on your own? It doesn't hurt too much, does it? Not much more than an injection? It's gonna be on back (my right shoulder blade )

Using the tanning bed after getting a tattoo?

yea u arent supposed to go swimming or tanning or any of that stuff. well i jus recently added a tat to me collection and the very next day i went swimming in my pool and i went tanning in the tanning bed. the tat is on my neck btw. but i jus washed my tat right after i got out of the pool and i washed it after i got from the tanning bed as well. if you still feel unsafe then put something over ur tat while tanning like a cloth or something. u arent supposed to really be in the tanning bed no longer than 20 min anyways so its not like you are goin to be tannin the whole day. mine is doin jus fine and it didnt fade.
