How Difficult Is It To Become A Navy Vocalist

How difficult is it to become a navy vocalist?

i'm going to join the Navy here pretty soon and i've been a singer all of my life. i was wondering if anyone knew how difficult it is to become a Navy Vocalist and what advice anyone might have for acing the audition!

Why is it hard to become a singer?

I'll assume you are talking about pop-culture singers such as top 40 'artists.' Opera and Broadway singers are in a different league.

The reason why it's hard to become a popular and successful singer is because EVERYONE wants to be a singer. Think about it, there are millions of people out there who are aspiring pop artists, yet only 40 positions on the top 40 chart. This makes it extremely hard to become a famous pop artist.

Also, when people say things like 'study at school, don't expect to become a singer' they are alluding towards something besides 'singing' specifically. What they are trying to say is that in order to be successful in life you need to work hard, get an education and acquire a marketable skill set in order to get a job. They are telling you that you can't rely on getting lucky in the music industry as your sole income.

Navy bootcamp, 900 division for singing?

Hey all! I am leaving for bootcamp in 4 1/2 days, and I desperately want to get into a 900 division for the choir! I have had a lot of singing experience (been involved in choirs, musicals, etc for a chunk of my life.) and I want to be involved in some way, shape, or form. I am just wondering, how does one get into a 900 division, specifically for singing? Any advice would be GREAT, thank you! :)

I'm 13 i wanna become an singer/actress what do i do?

Ask your parents for permission first then start uploading videos of you singing on YouTube. http://youtube.com/ or try http://totalpopstar.com/ an online American Idol type of thing. For acting, join a community center and learn to act.

How did you enjoy/hate your time in the Navy?

How did you guys like your enlistment in the navy? The reason I ask, is because I'm going to enlist soon, spend a little while in, get the GI bill, go to college, and then get a stable civilian job. But As i've been searching around for information on the Navy, I keep seeing a lot, like a LOT of posts on forums saying the Navy is awful, people regret it, their scummy, the officers **** you over, and GI bill ***** you over etc.

Is it really that bad? I mean I know serving on a ship isnt a glamorous life, but would you guys advise not enlisting? Im not asking for tips or anything, just if you guys all are here because you liked the navy, or because you bond over the fact that the life sucked
