Can a new employer see your previous employers through UAN?

Yes, employer can search your past employment by entering the UAN you provided. So many with fear started to hide their UAN number. This created the one more problemNew employer started to created one more UAN. So an employer end up with two or multiple UAN numbers. This created confusion among employees about how to merge such multiple UAN.Now having two UAN number is also not possible as EPFO set some automated optoin to merge all such UAN numbers into single UAN for each employee.Hence, the moral fo the story is never hide the UAN.
