No you can't Sprint phones will only work on Sprint because they are a CDMA carrier. You can use a Att or T-Mobile phone on Straight Talk because they are GSM and that what network straight talk uses.

Okay, so my friend switched phones and is no longer using her Tracfone. She gave me her Tracfone as a gift. Of course, it is now unregistered and has no service. If you are trying to add a phone to your account you can do that on their website. If you are trying to "Port" a number from another carrier you'll need to go to a Verizon Store. They will send an electronic port request to the other carrier and through some wizbang magic your number can then be assigned to a line on Verizon's network.
Why is Verizon now charging for new phones to be activated?
Technically, they always have. Or at least since 2003, when I became a Verizon customer. However, I used to have mine waived as incentive to renew my contract.So the real question is "Why does Verizon no longer waive activation fees?" Unfortunately, I don't know. Because I'm a long-time customer, I'm guessing that if I raised enough of a ruckus they would likely waive the fees for me. I don't do this, though, because I generally buy new phones at a retail location, and I'm happy to pay for the convenience of having a brick and mortar store with competent staff.

I have an alltel phone currently that i bought right before the alltel/verizon merger. I'm currently on Verizon's network, and my phone is really starting to have some problems. I have an old Samsung delve from alltel that still works great and I was wondering if I could activate the delve on verizon. I can't afford a smartphone plan and I don't want to use the smartphone features of the delve I just want a reliable phone I can text and call on without having to purchase a new verizon phone. Please let me know if there is anyway for me to activate it and not have to pay for the smartphone plan on verizon.
